Arguably the only bad thing that Trent has put out
Review of Fixed - Nine Inch Nails by MikeWoods

Advantages: It's a Halo, isn't it?
Disadvantages: It's boring and uninspired

...Not a fan of this one at all folks. It's just plain boring. Uninspired remixes of the songs of Broken don't take the songs any new places. I only brought it based on word of mouth and I'm kinda regretting I did. The Happiness in Slavery remix is particularly bad and just becomes something of an annoying noise after not too long. The only slightly interesting remix is that of Wish which extends this very underated song by a good few minutes . SOme hint of originality would have saved this release but I feel let down by Trent who has been a bastion of originality in the past. Only buy this one if you simply HAVE to complete your Halo collection... Read review

The City Life Feeds Me
Review of Vital (Live/Remastered) - Van Der Graaf Generator by Champ666

Advantages: Noisy, and Brilliant
Disadvantages: Not a good started for the uninitiated

..., Electric Piano, Synthesiser) and returning to the fold David Jackson (Saxes and Flute). The album contains a selection of songs from their back catalog rearranged for this updated line up but still keeping all the classic moments of musical mayhem that would be expected from Van Der Graaf. The claim to be the most extreme live album is apparent from the opening "Ship of Fools" where Nic Potters Bass sounds like it is being ripped apart at the seams this combined with Guy's drumming is enough to make it pretty extreme. Slap on top of that Violin and Cello salvos with Peter's guitar being ripped apart in a similar way to the bass and his barked vocal than you have a pretty extreme sea shanty from beyond where Davey Jones Locker exists. There is no let up on "Still Life" a ode to the futility of immortality with the Cello and Violin filling... Read review
