Battle Of The Senses - Various Artists

Advantages: Brilliant sounding, stirs the imagination
Disadvantages: Not for anyone afraid of classical music

...There are some people who think that music from a movie soundtrack isn't going to be any good without the dramatic backdrop of a raging battle or a lingering kiss. Well, not the case with the Narnia soundtrack. The main theme in itself is amazing, filled with built up suspense and gorgeous sounds. The best track is quite possibly one titled Battle. As the name suggests, it is the same song which plays during the big battle between the witch and the Narnians. This is long, yet you are enraptured from start to finish. It begins quitely, then is built up, tension is released, only for the same process to reoccur several times, never boring the listener. For anyone who ever thought classical, movie soundtrack music was no good has never heard this cd before. A must buy.... Read review

That’s fine but for one thing, she had her own ideas about what she wanted to do. Good thing Antonio Reid of Arista had just had similar battles with another maverick in the form of Pink. Otherwise the youngsters’ career as an artist could have been a non-starter. So finally the feisty Canadian who’s music isn’t much of a far cry from her fellow countrywoman Alanis Morrisette, so there may be some similarities between the two, yes, as it seems the skating princess seems to take the best from all other women in the genre and turn it into her own. Advantages: Fantastic sounds of the 80's

...This has got to be one pf my most favourite films of all time. Every since i saw it as a tenager i was hooked, got the soundtrack on tape and then bought it on CD a couple of years ago. The soundtrack is just as great, it has an 80's sound to it. With the rocky sound of "i still believe , the haunting sound of " cry little sister" and the eerie "people are strange". Plus the 80's sound of INXS as on a couple of songs such as Good times it s a good all rounder. If you like the film then the soundtrack is a must. Whenever i listen to the soundtrack i can remember the exact scene from the movie. If you have heard the soundtrack, and haven't seen the film, watch it, the songs will make much more sense and sound has if they have just been written for the movie.... Read review
