Advantages: Beer, Beer, Beer! Disadvantages: It's in a cellar!
The Bavarian Beerhouse in Islington is a beer cellar with a difference. Essentially it is a combination of Pub and restaurant with a bit of wacky Bavarian-ness thrown in just to make it unique!
The ?cellar? is divided into 4 distinct sections ? The Beerhall "Schwemme", the Bavarian Room, the indoor beergarden and a Ski Hut ?Allgau?.
The Schwemme is the main room of the Beerhouse, it has a traditional beer hall design and is decorated in original Hofbrauhaus colours.
The Bavarian Room is painted in white and blue Bavarian colours and has a dance floor and DJ corner.
The Beer Garden is modelled on a typical Bavarian beer garden (apparently).
The Ski Hut is made from an Allgau design and is only accessible through a private section of the beerhouse and is therefore completely closed off to the public ? for private parties only!

Advantages: Well developed characters, interesting, compelling story Disadvantages: A little graphic at times,
Although the age-old adage is don't judge a book by its cover, I am not a huge believer in this. I feel that in the modern world where there is such a vast amount of literature out there, the cover of a book has to be important in your choice of whether to select that book from the pile to then read the blurb (unless the book has been recommended in which case the cover is most likely unimportant.
Hope has a very simple spine, in a blue-y purple with the title Hope written in black, squared letters, the author's name (Glen Duncan) in white in the same fount though smaller. There is also a grey scale picture running through the letters which at first glance doesn't look like much, but on closer inspection turns out to be two naked figures, one male, one female, as a profile shot, showing the two chests and torsos pressed against each ...
Advantages: Unique taste, absolutely delicious Disadvantages: Only available in Tesco
Every now and then, I like to treat myself to some of the freshly baked bread from my local Tesco's bakery. One of my favorite types is Tiger Bread.
Why Is It Called Tiger Bread?
This bread is referred to as Tiger bread because of the pattern which develops across the top of the bread during the baking process. This is achieved by spreading rice paste and sesame oil on the top of the bread before it is baked. Then, while the bread is baking, the paste dries and cracks which creates stripes across the top of the bread, similar in look and colour to the stripes of a Tiger, hence the name Tiger Bread.
Packaging
Tiger bread comes pre-packed in a transparent plastic-type wrapping, with a label giving a description of the item and the weight. The packaging is very thin and quite flimsy so often it can break as the crusty bread ...

Album Notes
Full performer name: Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions: Hope Sandoval (vocals, guitar, harmonica, glockenspiel, keyboards); Colm O Ciosoig (guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, background vocals); Julian Goldwhite, Bert Jansch, Paul Mc Quillan, Mike Prosenko (guitar); Ji-Young Moon (cello); Arve Henrickson (trumpet); Julian Alan Brown, Jill Emery (bass); Colm O'Ciosoig (drums). Engineers: Colm O Ciosoig, Helge Sten, Scott Campbell. Hope Sandoval is best known as the vocalist and figurehead of Mazzy Star. The alternative rock act issued three albums in the '90s and even had a hit single ("Fade Into You"), but nevertheless disbanded following the release of 1996's AMONG MY SWAN. Sandoval then mysteriously disappeared from the music world for nearly five years. The sultry chanteuse's first full-length solo effort BAVARIAN FRUIT BREAD served as her comeback. Although a band dubbed the Warm Inventions--a conglomeration of 10 studio musicians--shares equal billing, it is Sandoval who is really the focal point. The somber singer plays the majority of the instruments and it is her breathy, laconic voice that carries each tune. The signature psychedelic guitar wail provided of former collaborator David Roback has been replaced with sparse strings and spatially conscious arrangements that hide behind Sandoval's whispered words. Highlights include "Lose Me on the Way" and "Charlotte," songs that sound as if they were recorded in a hollow cathedral. Slightly more upbeat numbers ("Suzanne" and "On the Low") provide subtle contrast with a harmonica-aided, bluesy atmosphere.
