and 'When Your Heart Stops Beating' is therefore a much better offering than what we had from Mr DeLonge. Whereas after the demise of Blink 182, Tom DeLonge took the route of taking himself far too seriously and becoming a complete egotist, +44 are far more light-hearted, and although their music is at times a far cry from that of what they were producing as Blink 182; a lot of the time the tracks here sound like cast off's from Blink 182's self titled release.
'When Your Heart Stops Beating' starts off promisingly with 'Lycanthrope', a track which is fairly pacey and keeps your interest for the 4 minutes that it runs for. Although this track is pacey with strong drumbeats and guitars, it's never really anything spectacular and although starts the album nicely enough it will never leave you gasping in awe of what you have just listened to ...

My granddaughter started nursery school in September and when I saw this book in the library during the summer holidays I thought it would be a good way of introducing her to situations that she hadn't met before.
The story starts by introducing the Peaches family - mum, dad and the twins Percy and Polly along with their pets Sidney the gerbil, Dusty the cat and Ping and Pong the two kittens. The Peaches' live in a flat above the Marsh family who have a daughter called Milly.
The story goes through the routines of getting up, having breakfast and getting ready for school. At school the children have a special hook for their coats and in the classroom there is a variety of activities for the children to participate in ...
Advantages: Gently introduces a child to what school will be like Disadvantages: None
and Percy are doing. Your child then has to look at the picture and find the children to see what they are doing. It uses this basic questioning several times during the book, which means your child has tobe looking at what is going on.
Another nice touch is that on every page there is a yellow duck hidden, which your child has to find. This again I think helps with their observation skills.
Gareth really enjoyed having this book read to him. He had lots of fun trying to find the duck on every page, and seemed to get a sense of achievement when he found it. He also enjoyed answering the different questions that were in the book.
In the week that we have had the book, we have read it together quite a few times. In fact it is a bit of a shame that it has to go back toschool.
