Album Notes: Enduring indie stalwarts follow 2006's 'Riot City Blues' with this, their ninth album and first for B-Unique. Having made their name by always trying something different with every new release, on this album they mash up soul, dark electro, rock 'n' roll riffs and classic pop songwriting. Produced by Paul Epworth (Bloc Party) and Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn & John, it includes the single 'Can't Go Back' and features input from Lovefoxx of CSS, folk legend Linda Thompson and Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme.
Advantages: Great variety of musical styles and moods, quality songs Disadvantages: Won't change the world

Not only will most of the audience get bored with them, but they too risk getting stale and disinterested. I guess that PrimalScream have managed to do something different with each of their 9 albums...

Advantages: an incredible fusion of rock and dance music Disadvantages: none!
...PrimalScream are the ultimate fantasy rock band. They couldn't be more perfect had they been created in a factory.Through their career they've embraced techno,Rolling Stones esque blues, acid house,rock-abilly,indie and electro. They are the rock band that make you want to dance. The white indie band that don't seem out of place in a club. This is their third album and marks a massive departure from the first two records. After leaving the Jesus and The Mary Chain, Bobby Gillespie formed PrimalScream with the aim of making classic rock with a twist. The first two records 'PrimalScream' and 'Sonic Flower Groove' were standard rock affairs and totallyout of place in the early 1990's, when dance was the ruling musical genre and ecstacy its driving force.
So PrimalScream, rather than react against this movement, embraced dance music...
