tour offered overwhelming evidence that, far from being forgotten, the post-Robbie quartet can still command hysterical amounts of goodwill and adoration. Beautiful World illustrates why this is so. Written in conjunction with songwriter/producer John Shanks (Ashlee Simpson, Anastacia, Alanis Morissette), the album is crammed full with the songwriting magic that made their rise to fame so meteoric in the first place. Far from being an exercise in nostalgia, the project moves the band in a slightly new direction. The four come across as more mature, more democratic (all members share songwriting credits on the album, rather than just Barlow), and even more adept at making epic pop that somehow avoids the cheese factor. Lead single "Patience" is a perfect example of how powerful and accessible their songs can be. It'd be a good contender for the album's peak moment if the rest of the tracks weren't so damn good too. With traditional Take That style songs (the immediately likeable "Reach Out", the brimming "Like I Never Loved You At All"), nicely punctuated up by incongruous outings like Jason Orange's folkish "Wooden Boat" and Mark's upbeat, Beatles-esque "Shine", Beautiful World sets a whole new standard for a band previously known more for their singles than their long-players.--Danny McKenna

Born To Shine Review ofBeautiful World - Take Thatby
RazzaLazza
Advantages: All of the tracks present shine through as excellent with a brilliant chorus always present. Disadvantages: Gary Barlow is given the lead vocals far too often.
Take That first formed back in 1990, they were then active until 1996, Robbie Williams having left the band the previous year. Their last single the first time around was a cover of The Bee Gees track 'How Deep Is Your Love', a single that hit the number one spot and appeared to be their last. This was of course not to be as in late 2005 there was official press conference from the band stating that they would be touring in 2006 complete with all ... ...name 'The Ultimate Tour 2006' and ran between the months of April and June. In May 2006 the band signed a deal with Polydor Records that was reportedly worth £3 million, and their 'Beautiful World' album was subsequently released on November 27th 2006.
The album begins well with the track 'Reach Out', it was going to be the third single released from 'Beautiful World' in fact, however when 'Rule The World' came about from the film 'Stardust' it ...

Advantages: Much more mature Music Disadvantages: Lots of cheese
Well they are well and truly back the sensation that broke thousands of girls & a few boys (awww) hearts many years ago when they decided to split up. This album is far from anything they released when they were all rowdy young lads up for a laugh and a few other things, far from songs such as ‘’Pray’’ ‘’it only takes a minute’’ yes all these song are obviously from ma bunch of lads who party drink collect women and well party.. To be honest after ... ...pleased after watching the antics of which they got up to on the backs of tour buses which is way to disgusting to mention on here, i could only try to imagine the rubbish that was about to be played down the waves of radio stations all over, i mean come on they were Ok when they were younger and the songs were Kind of Excellent so they couldn’t possibly top any of that being much older an all, could they?? Wrong This album is truly GREAT the album ...

Advantages: Quality music with fantastic lyrics Disadvantages: None
...- Gary Barlow ~ Another beautiful ballad basically about wanting that special someone back in your life. Quite a slow and slushy track but that's what take that do best!
8.Ain't No Sense In Love ~ Lead vocal - Gary Barlow ~ The title says it all really, love this track very catchy and clever lyrics.
9.What You Believe In ~ Lead vocal - Mark Owen ~ Not to sure if I like this one or not sounds a bit depressing to me.
10.Mancunian Way ~ Lead vocal ... ...the other tracks.
11.Wooden Boat ~ Lead vocal - Jason Orange ~ Very cute little folk style song something quite different to what we usually get from take that but I like it! Not sure whether one of them actually stole the car keys to their mums car or not, but that's in the lyrics. It's different and I like it.
12. Butterfly (Secret track) ~ Lead vocal - Gary Barlow ~ I love hidden tracks I only discovered it when I played the album on my pc and ...

Its not often I say this but you can understand all the words on each song, the lyrics have been writen beautifully.
With there number one single Patience and their latest track Shine this album has to be the best one the boys have released. Another of my favourites is Hold on (I don't wanna see you crying).

Quick review of Beautiful World - Take That Review ofBeautiful World - Take Thatby

Put it this way. Think of the Spice Girls - make 'em guys, add a couple of decent voices, a very decent comeback album, and you have Take That.
What you find in Beautiful World are musicians, refreshed, who have put together a set of mature yet catchy pieces.
I guess it ticks pretty much all the boxes - something for most people, irrespective of your listening tastes to enjoy. Whether you're a die hard from the '90s, or a new fan , you'll be satisfied with this album.
With hits such as Patience and Shine, Beautiful World is a score for Take That.
People might say that there are a few "junk" tracks, but on the whole a well worth buying.

Album Notes: Following a ten year gap from the pop scene, 2006 saw Take That embark on a massively successful UK tour which led to an award for Best Live Return at the Vodafone Live Music Awards. Each member of the band (minus Robbie Williams) made a contribution to the writing of this release giving it a contemporary feel. The top 40 single, 'Patience', is included.
Album Reviews: Q (p.142) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "There are big, BACK FOR GOOD-style ballads....jaunty, crafted pop nuggets...and there are watertight harmonies to spare."
