In this room he stored the rose in a glass case where it magically wilted away as each day goes by. And if it is removed from the glass casing it will die and the spell could never be broke. So this was the room belle was never allowed to see. Belle refused to make an effort with the beast, he invited her for dinner and she refused. sequences, the most spectacular of which being the ballroom scene, which looks absolutely gorgeous and is almost 100% faultless(I won't say its IS faultless because you can guarantee that something will top it as soon as I do that!). Visually its highly impressive and when you take into account the song and dance routines which are always included being of an extremely high quality, the voice-over cast being excellent, the humour and characterisations spot on too, then you have a simply divine animated movie. Like I said, I am not a fan of Disney, but credit where credit is due and all that means that Beauty and the Beast would get at least a 9/10 rating from me. Its excellent stuff, probably not something a student is going to want to rush out and buy for themselves, but if you have younger brothers and sisters then definitely worth it. You ...

Beauty and the Beast - Manchester

Advantages: Very well animated
Disadvantages: Too musical for children

Yesterday, Saturday the 26th of October was the day I took my 4 year old daughter and 8 year old cousin to see Beauty and the Beast the Musical at the Palace Theatre in Manchester. The show started off with a musical ensemble and with two actors on stage, one as the prince and the other as the haggered person with the rose. Very dramatic start as the haggered person' outfit is stripped to display the beauty ejected into the air with lots and lots of bright lights of a "firework display". The show itself is based on the Disney film and was very well presented. The two kids were rather bored with show by about 40 minutes into the musical as sometimes some of the scenes were limited to 2 actors and very little activity.
