Bebo is an online message board site that works in real time, it is very similar to Facebook and Myspace though it seems to be used more than in the UK than these similar sites.
Bebo can be used for a large list of different things, you can send public messages, private messages, share photos, do fun quizes and add applications, add and make new friends or just stay in touch with your own friends, create or join groups of people with similar interest, check out videos and the service is completly free.
Bebo is also quite a safe site because you can make your profile that you set up private so then no one who is not on your friends list can look at it. You can also block members from viewing your profile and also you can make pictures private and stop people from copying them to their profile.

To be honest I never really did get into the MySpace phenomenon, yes I did sign-up but I could never have a website replace my mobile phone as the key to my social life and my weekend plannings.
