16. 'White Christmas' is originally from the 1942 film 'Holiday Inn' not from the 1954 film 'White Christmas' as so many people think. The Holiday Inn is the setting for a story filled with romance and music is the main thing on their minds, it stars two great performers Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire.

Advantages: Great voice, great vocal capabilities, Lovely treat Disadvantages: May be upsetting if you've just lost a relationship
...it. This is a much happier song, "Cause I've found you, who cares what anyone may say."
Track 4 this is a well known song and a beautiful classical love song. It makes us wonder what's happening in the relationship becauseit's asking lot's of questions like if the lover really loves this character. "You've been talking in your sleep, with loving on your mind" so there's obviously some doubts in the relationship there. The melody and beat has gone slower which reflects the tone of the song. It's another sad song and plays on your emotions. The melody is slow and methodical. "Talking in your sleep, with loving on your mind" What else could this mean? particularly with the character Martine Mccutcheon plays meaning that it's supposed to be her he is talking about and not some other woman. I feel such a sadness with this song...

Advantages: 30 classic hits on one budget priced album nicely made Disadvantages: Not remastered but not that bad really it as sounds fine
...will instantly recognise his songs. A particularly famous one is "Sway" with its exotic sounds and sweeping string orchestra. Another of my favourite.
In summary, I think this is an excellent tribute to Dean Martin at an excellent, affordable price, which would serve well to introduce many more people to his talents. There really isn't anything to criticize as Capitol records have managed to cram 30 songs onto one CD which has a running time of 77 minutes....
