Missa Luba - A Must to Listen To
Review of Missa Luba: African Mass by  hawkowl

Advantages: Refreshingly Different
Disadvantages: None

...Don't be put off by the title Missa Luba 'An African Mass' or think that it's 'too high-brow'! Missa Luba is a wonderful example of African rhythms and percussive instrumentation - drums and shaken gourds - with traditional African 'call and response' melodies together with additional harmonies. Based on the traditional Mass the work consists of just five tracks - Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Agnus Dei - and is just over fifteen minutes long. The remainder of the recording consists of 10 Kenyan Folk Melodies. These too are as wonderful and refreshing as the Missa Luba . Ideal for the 'serious' listener, as background music or for those who wish to listen to something a little different. Go on. Give it a try; you will be glad you did. After all you have nothing to loose but much enjoyment to be gained. This is my first... Read review

Up until recently the soap was shown on a sunday Night , however the Sunday Night show has been replaced by a "double" episode on a Friday Night. The Coronation Street omnibus can be seen on ITV2 (sky channel 118) on Sundays. The Soap has a well known pub ; The Rovers Return , Audrey's hair salon, Rita's corner shop , Peacocks Butcher , Roy... Coronation Sh*** is what my husband calls it.
Review of Coronation Street by  KELLYLOUJ

Advantages: Are there any?
Disadvantages: Poor acting, poor storylines.

...As I begin to write this review I am trying to recall the first ever episode I remember watching of Coronation Street, being 27 years old that is a good few years of watching the soap and I really can't remember I do remember some classic episodes with Terry Duckworth and his partner Lisa, Rita in the Kabin and Mavis and Derek oh how there have been some characters over the years and what we have now is not a patch on what Corrie used to be like! *~*Where it all began*~* Coronation Street first hit our television screens on the 9th December in 1960, sadly I was not even a glint in my parent's eyes at that time so now in 2009 its safe to say this is one of the longest running soaps in history if not the longest running soap. It is produced by Manchester based Granada who now fall under the ITV branch and repeats on ITV2 at lunchtime... Read review
