Before Night Falls - Original Soundtrack

Advantages: Easy listening, soothing
Disadvantages: Only one song you can sing along to

...I first bought this soundtrack before I bought the film, as I was then, a huge Titanic fan. The album has the hit single ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion, a magnificent singer. It also has several classical songs (including one or two bagpipes) taken from the film. The additional songs are not bad – they are easy listening. They can be very calming music (except for the louder ones – from when the ship was sinking) and are brilliant to listen to when drifting into a nights sleep. The album is worth buying, if you are a titanic fan and like classical music – otherwise do not bother!... Read review

...This is the greatest film soundtrack I have ever bought, mixing the perfect combination of film monologues with songs. These are two necessary CDs for anyone that likes to get wound up before they go out on a Friday night! CD1 is pretty frantic in-between the film monologues, changing pace fairly often, and covering a lot of music genres, from drum‘n’bass to hip hop and jungle. Of the two CDs this is the one for getting ready and going out, any night starting off with classics like CJ Bolland ‘it aint gonna be me’ just has to be a brilliant night. CD2 is much mellower; the first few tracks on this CD could almost be described as lounge music, but then it kicks it up a notch to such well known tunes as ‘Café Del Mar’ Although this double CD contains some amazing tracks, and is really well mixed together, it is no substitute... ...I reviewed Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas before and so I thought I'd review the soundtrack which I bought quite recently. All the songs have a bit of dialogue beforehand which helps you realise where you are in the film and it helps to grab the drug induced elements of the film in keeping to the soundtrack. The soundtrack is one of those that has a good range of songs that were released - not just songs made up specifically for the film.
