Behind The Iron Curtain - John Mayall

Advantages: Has some new music inc a nice end-of-career song
Disadvantages: Most of it is old songs (well, it is a greatest hits album)

...We had The Show, we had the Encore, now its time for the Curtain Call. As the expression goes, all great things must come to an end. This is the end of an era for one of rap's, and music's, biggest stars. In my opinion, he was one of the biggest stars of the music industry over the past decade, singing with the likes of Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and also 50 cent. I grew fond of listening to his vocal talents ever since i heard him for the first time ( The Real Slim Shady). Now for the album review. 1 - Intro 6/10 The CD begins with another one of eminems concert style intros. This one has more of a 60's romantic style music, however, nothing special in this. 2 - FACK 8/10 This is one of the few tracks he sang especially for this album. Advantages: great music from a great artist
Disadvantages: not good to listen to with kids around

...I have been amazed by Eminem since he brought out his first album "The Slim Shady LP" in 2000. Rap music is not usually my thing, but I really enjoy listening to Eminem. With his great beats, brilliant lyrics and astounding talent Eminem quickly gained himself many fans. Eminem clearly stands out from all other rap artists. This album, very apropriately titled "Curtain Call" is to be the last as Eminem has decided to now give other areas of his life more time and attention. Advantages: Ace songs, great playing, soulful singing

...Believe it or not (and I know what you'll think, given the very hip and cool status which follows me around like a v bad smell), but I used to be a very dedicated follower of Old Four Eyes back in the mid 70's. The Boy wrote some classic pop stuff around that time with his mate Bernie Taupin and made some very strong albums. This is one of the very best of a strong catalogue Elt produced and one of my all time faves... When Elton John released the 'Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy' album in 1975, he was doing much more than fulfil his contractual obligation to DJM Records to provide two albums each year.
