..., Cappadonna's subject matter in all three verses are practically irrelevant to the pointless hook. WAR RATS is not a complete washout thanks to the political message Cappadonna portrays in his above-average lyricism. But the track will have many rap listeners reaching for the SKIP button due to the decaying chorus and rat-smelling production. Rating: 3/10 4. BREAD OF LIFE (4:32 min) feat. Killah Priest and Neonek Killah Priest ( real name: Walton Reed ) lends a helping hand to drop impressive rhymes and bring some BREAD OF LIFE to Cappadonna's album. ...Intro ------- Following the departure of original vocalist Rob Halford in 1992, Judas Priest was on hold for a time while a replacement was found. Tim Owens was working as an office supplies salesman and singing in a Judas Priest covers band (called 'British Steel') when one of the shows was video taped by the girlfriend of the drummer for Judas Priest. Tim was offered an audition with the band, and gladly accepted. One of Judas Priest's guitarists (Glenn Tipton) said this of the auditions: "We had narrowed down to 15 guys. Scott [Judas Priest's drummer] said we had to hear this guy from British steel. We put up his video and he was amazing! I could not believe it. We phoned him up "you cant be this good". Advantages: It's different to anything else released by the band, therefore deserves a listen
Disadvantages: maybe alienate a few fans

...This is a very difficult album to review for me... the Priest were one of the first metal bands I became a fan of back in my teen days in 1978, so I've been with them every step of the way for the last 30 years now. Over that time they've released several classic albums... Stained Class, Killing Machine, British Steel, Screaming For Vengeance, Painkiller, and even the last album 'Angel Of Retribution'. They've also stuck out a couple of average albums... Turbo, and Ram It Down come to mind... but this new one... heck, this one had me stumped from the day they announced the concept (what were they thinking of?), until I actually bought it and gave it a few listens. Based loosely on the life and prophecies of Nostradamus, it's a double CD. A lot of it sounds like your typical Judas Priest material, but a lot of it is far from it... Read review
