I have also bought the album "Baby one more time" and I'm thinking of buying her second album "Oops.. I did it again". I bought this product because I love Britney Spears and I think she is very talented. When I am unhappy ... Read review

I have bought all the singles Britney Spears have produced singley. I have also bought the album "Baby one more time" and I'm thinking of buying her second album "Oops.. I did it again". I bought this product because I love Britney Spears and I think she is very talented. When I am unhappy I always listen to this song, every time it helps me recover from my lost. I think any one who likes Britney Spears should buy this single, I also totally recommend it to everyone else who thinks that Britney Spears is just someone who shows skin to make money.
Advantages: ... Disadvantages: cheesy cover version alert! AAAAAAAGH!
Have you ever heard a worse song? Probably, but this has to be one of, if not the worst cover version of a song ever done. With electronic tampering that reminds me far too much of Cher's "believe" and the same quality of singing of All Saint's "Under the Bridge" cover, this is one to be avoided. I could launch into a barrage of complaints about this song, but I'm not going to. The original version was before my time, but I've heard it once or twice and I must say, Madonna's version is a lot worse. ...
Advantages: All the hits in one place. Disadvantages: The songs appeal to different people.
I should make it clear that I am reviewing here Cher's Greatest Hits 1965-1992, not "Cher - The Greatest Hits" released in 1999.
This is basically a collection of Cher's most memorable singles, right through from a TOTP perfomance of "I Got You Babe" to the number one hit, "The Shoop Shoop Song" - and it's obvious that before Believe, Cher had quite the career going as a rock star. A collection of timeless rock classics (including "Dead Ringer For Love" with Meat Loaf) and a few acoustic numbers ("Heart Of Stone") and a cover version thrown in for good measure ("Many Rivers To Cross" - Live) and you'll see this is quite the eclectic mix.
It's hard to see how many people will enjoy *all* the tracks from 90s through 60s, and the vast proportion are firmly rooted in the latter part of her career. Nevertheless, a great introduction to ...

soundcheck before gig at Royal Albert Hall, a fine approximation of the band's early blues sound. They would go on to replicate this with Since I've Been Loving You on LZII.
Walters Walk: from the legendary Stargroves sessions that produced "Houses" and much of "Physical Graffiti", a fast, loud, blitzkreig of a tune with sexist lyrics "I'm walking the floor over you" for instance.
Ozone Baby: one of the three outtakes from "In Through The Out Door" that appear here. The original intent was to release them as an EP. A rolling electric rock tune with treated vocals at the end a la Cher's "Believe", but 1000 times better.
Darlene: see above. A 50's doo-wop pastiche not dissimilar to "The Ocean". Big piano work from JPJ here.
Bonzo's Montreaux: Credited to The John Bonham Drum Orchestra. Jimmy does a bit of electronic work to ...

Producers: Mark Taylor, Brian Rawling, Junior Vasquez, Todd Terry. Engineers: Bill Klatt, Fabio, Marc Goodman. Recorded at Dreamhouse Studios, London, England and Soundworks, New York, New York. "Believe" won the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Pop Dance Recording. BELIEVE was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Pop Album. "Believe" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Record Of The Year. One of pop's true reigning divas returns to the fore with BELIEVE, a strikingly modern set of compositions. From the electronic vocal manipulation of the opening title track to the traditional inflections of "Dov'e L'Amore" BELIEVE is a highly original, highly personal statement, setting timeless emotions to cutting-edge musical themes. "Takin' Back My Heart" is a headstrong tale of emotional self- empowerment, while Cher shares a little territory with Madonna on the synth-driven throb of "Taxi Taxi." The album's closer, "We All Sleep Alone" steps a little further back, building layers upon a vintage disco beat in an epic that would make Donna Summer proud. BELIEVE finds Cher staying on top of pop music's edge, as effortlessly and as earnestly as ever.
