Bell Direct is an insurance company part of the Admiral Group offering insuring services Service Naturally if you are looking for car insurance you would shop around to look for the cheapest deal. In my opinion the greatest thing the Bell offered when calling around was a complete comprehensive detail of the facts in a highly commendable manner. The only downsite was they use 0870 or 0844 numbers which aren't exactly cheap. But generally I found the staff very useful. Price Bell, are cheap and offer good invitation prices with perks thrown in. Except, I found that whatever promotion to get you to sign up is getting a cheap quote, that cheap policy does not last. Bell Direct - Cheap But Not so Chearful

Advantages: Very Cheap
Disadvantages: Not great customer service

I first came accross Bell Direct due to the price - for me they were substantially cheaper (hundreds of pounds) than any other car insurance provider. Luckily I did not have any accidents during my time with them but the problems started when it came to renew my insurance. For those who don't know, Bell automatically renew your insurance when it comes to an end and automatically charge whatever card you used to buy it in the first place. They do send a letter to say they are going to do this about a month before the expiry but sadly I missed this due to moving house. So, they charged the card I used before which had now expired. Clearly this meant that they couldn't take payment and they started sending letters saying I owed them money. When I tried to tell them I did not want the insurance, they tried to charge me a £60 ...

Bell direct Good service

Advantages: Good service
Disadvantages: Cannot think of one.

I would like to say that i dealt with this company for two years and they saved me a small fortune due to one of there excellant insurance advisers.If you run two cars and take both policies out at the same time.They allow you to use the highest no claims on both vehicles..I walked away with five years on both cars whereas before I only had zero no claims and five years no claims. Other benefits I like is that they are open between 8am and 10pm even for admin calls.They do however charge £15 a go to change vehicles. The rates where charge are good as well for young drivers.I was getting qoutes for a 1988 BMW 320i of £600 until i got one with bell of 299 which also included protected no claims bonus....bit of a bargain. I would recommend people to try them and pay by credit card....you save an extra 10 percent!! ...
