Advantages: Excellent Movie Sountrack. Disadvantages: None!
memories of this movie and of the time it was released in the charts to me and I just love recalling it all. This track was released in 1985 and reached number 15 in the billboard charts. The music video to accompany this love song was taken from clips of the St Elmo's Fire movie also. This is an excellent track, that?s an all time favourite to me.
Overall Opinion Of St Elmo's Fire Soundtrack.
Well as you have probably gathered from reading this review, I really love this soundtrack a lot. I have had this original one for over twenty years. I first had it on cassette and then upgraded it to CD. It really looks a bit tatty on it, but that?s because it has been played a lot by me over the years, as I love it so much. This CD was one of the first movie soundtracks that really caught my attention because of the great meanings all the songs ...
Advantages: Definitely fitting with the movie, great tracklisting with sexy brooding songs Disadvantages: My version has the swear words edited out... grr
+ THE MOVIE +
2002's Queen Of The Damned was the movie that combined the Anne Rice books 'Queen Of The Damned' and 'The Vampire Lestat', although not the actual plots (which resulted in childish tantrums from some of the author's anally retentive fans). Both vampire fans and the morbidly inclined flocked to the cinema for Warner Brothers' bloody offering and as with the majority of horror / occult-ish movies released nowadays, a host of rock and metal tracks featured throughout. However, since Lestat has stirred from his slumber and turns himself into a world famous rock star, this is more than fitting.
+ THE SOUNDTRACK +
KoRn fans will be pleased to know that frontman Jonathan Davis (who had a cameo as a concert ticket tout) and renowned composer Richard Gibbs wrote the five songs performed by Lestat's band in the movie ...
Advantages: One inspiring track and 2 other good additions and thats it Disadvantages: Too many fillers and the whole thing jumps around with no thought in track listing
A great film in my opinion, littered with top end stars. The soundtrack, well, littered with litter really. This had the potential to be a massive album, a big american football film should have had multiple tunes, music and sport usually goes well. Not here though.
Who You Gonna Call - Missy Elliott. This aint the ghostbusters one, that would have been a shock but a good Missy production with a spine tingling choir and orchestra giving you the impression of a good opera. Ive never seen one but im guessing it would sound a little like this, just with someone rapping over it. Good track.
Reunion - Capone & Noreaga. Im sure Capone was put in jail for drugs but you'll have to look that up. Another similar track to the first using the orchestra and strings to build anticipation. Suprisingly good this one

Producers include: R. Kelly, Irv Gotti, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Dame Grease, Knobody. Engineers include: Stephen George, Pat Viala, Ed Raso. Given that Belly a) is the debut feature film of Hype Williams (the only bona fide auteur to emerge from the music video side of the rap industry), b) was underwritten by Def Jam and c) casts three rappers (Method Man, Nas & DMX) in the lead roles--it shouldn't take rocket science to determine that someone had a lot of chips stacked on the soundtrack. It shows: the track listing reads like a who's who of East Coast rap. Although the disc does shine a light on unknowns like Hot Totti, Lady and Ja Rule, most of the gems here are from established stars. Gang Starr's "Militia" remix (featuring Rakim) & D'Angelo's "Devil's Pie," are both enhanced by the tighter-than-tight production skills of DJ Premier and there are also nice tracks backing Raekwon and young gun Noreaga. But the standout cut is the reggae beat "Top Shotter," ridden by DMX alongside Mr. Vegas and Sean Paul. Not only does it feature the two hottest dancehall vocalists of 1998, but even critics of DMX will find that his gravelly "Here comes the boom" flows perfectly over the raw kick of a dancehall riddim.
