Advantages: Provides comfort and tenderness, deep, and touching. Disadvantages: Less vocals than other albums.
...This was Enya's first solo album. It was originally released in 1987, under BBC records. At first it had little success, but was then re-released in 1992.
This album primarily contains soundtracks, and mainly instrumentals. It only has one song in English - "I Want tomorrow". This is a very unusual song for Enya, and even contains an electric guitar, but it works brilliantly!
Enya's celtic soul shines through brilliantly in this album, a wonderfully soothing collection of tracks ranging in their approach from fairytale to epic. This album stirs up deep emotions and brings you in touch with them, in a way that only music can.
There are some true gems to be found on this CD especially tracks like The Celts, The Sun In The Stream, Portrait(Out Of The Blue), and To Go Beyond.
I'd say this album is definately worth adding...

Advantages: Amusing, Well Produced, Strong Melodies Disadvantages: Juvenile in Places

There was a lot of controversy surrounding the lyrics to this fun, catchy piece of pop-rock when it was initially released as a single because of the drug-fuelled lyrics. But in all honesty, this band never aimed...

Background:
Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) enjoyed a prolific and highly successful career composing in a wide variety of genres from opera to piano sonatas and is widely regarded to have fine-tuned the Classical Style in his string quartets and symphonies. When Haydn started composing "Die Schoepfung" (The Creation in English) in 1786 he had returned to Vienna after a highly successful time in England where his music was feted by everyone from the King downwards. He was now at the height of his powers, with a doctorate from Oxford University in his pocket and was certainly very aware of the commercial value of his music having made a substantial amount of money in England.
From the copious archived documentation, we can read that Haydn felt there was nothing more he could say...
