...This is the Broadway Deluxe Collectors Edition of Hair - The American Tribal Love Rock Musical. Quick history of Hair: Hair was the brain-child of american hippy actors James Rado and Jerome Ragni. The story line is a little bit rough. (I'm not even sure that the writers knew what it was about, but thats one of the charming things about) I think it best just to quote a small section from the sleeve to give you an idea of what its about. "Hair is a McLuhan era love-rock musical , fresh out of the teeming streets of the East Village [New York] where the flower children are freaking out and turning one another on with love and a whole new set of values. Advantages: Some tracks on second CD really good

...Overall, both CDs contain a fantastic selection of the music from the film and if you loved watching it then you will love listening to the music on its own, I do. The question therefore is whether to go for the Collectors Edition or just the normal soundtrack CD? In my opinion it is worth paying the extra money to get the second CD in the Collectors Edition compared to the 'basic' soundtrack CD. The main difference between the two is that the second CD has a lot more instrumental-only tracks compared to the single soundtrack CD which just has is all the main songs. If you just want a basic CD with all your favourite songs then you can't go wrong with the normal soundtrack, but if you really want to capture the full atmosphere of the film (and are a fan of tracks without words as well as those with them) then I would fully...
