Advantages: A tight, well-constructed sound with technicallity and musicality to boot Disadvantages: Are you kidding me?
Rainbow's second attempt at making an album?and what an effort! Combine the guitar mastery of Ritchie Blackmore with the vocal talent of Ronnie James Dio and you're onto something very special. When you add a rhythm section consisting of Jimmy Bain (Bass), the late great Cozy Powell on Drums and throw in Tony Carey (Keyboards) for good measure; it comes as no surprise when I tell you that this is one of the greatest Hard Rock albums ever created.
The album kicks off with a Keyboard introduction that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Its magical weaving lets you know this album is somewhat different to that of which you are commonly associated. After some build-up, the guitar enters softly, the drums roar and the roller coaster is on its way. Dio triumphantly soars above the track and takes control. The balance is perfect ...

, the magazine seems very much geared to losing weight - even if you're into keeping in shape and being fit and healthy it might not be the mag for you. Also, the make up section seems a little pointless to me - in terms of sports, you'd just sweat it off anyway, and for daytime / evenings, I never see the point in showing people how to cover up the healthy glow they developed as a result of their work out - surely slightly flushed cheeks are more attractive the milky white ones?
I took 2 of my 3 free issues of Shape on holiday with me, but was soon bored: there just isn't enough detail or depth in any of the articles to keep you engrossed for long enough. Overall, it's a nice all round magazine but not really my thing. Because they cover so many different areas, they just cannot delve into any one in as much detail as I'd like. Which is a shame ...

Advantages: It's free, very easy to use and there are lots of other users already registered. Disadvantages: Nnot as many users as more established sites just yet.
Bent.com chat launched at the beginning of 2007 and I first joined after seeing an advert in the gay press.
It's an online gay chat and dating service that is free to use. You start by creating a profile about yourself, which includes a description, likes and dislikes and sexual preferences. You can also add your photos to your profile.
Unlike other gay dating sites I've used, bent.com does everything live. As soon as you make a change to your profile, send a message, upload a photo it happens instantly.
You can search through other people's profiles by age, location, likes and dislikes etc and so far there seems to be thousands of other guys that have already joined.
The best part of the bent.com gay chat system is that you can set up your webcam and broadcast it free to other guys online. You can have as many people as you ...

Album Notes
All tracks have been digitally remastered. Considering the number of personnel changes this band has had, vocalist Joe Lynn Turner was lucky to have a job after 1981's DIFFICULT TO CURE. Luckily, bandleader Richie Blackmore kept Joe on board for what turned out to be this excellent effort, which turned out to be the group's final studio album. This remastered edition of BENT outdoes its predecessor and holds up well years after its release. "Stranded" is a fine leadoff track that showcases the heavy pop crossover sound of the group. "Can't Let You Go" is a radio-friendly tune showcasing the emotional vocals of Turner. "Fire Dance" rocks hard, while "Anybody There" is a tender, bluesy instrumental. Richie Blackmore's controlled soloing clearly influenced artists like Joe Satriani. "Street of Dreams," a rock-radio hit, is probably the best representation of the band's final days--the song's production, hook, and solo make it quite memorable. The entire album sounds polished, but not too glossy, courtesy of producer and bassist Roger Glover. "Drinking With the Devil" is a tale of rock & roll excess. The metal-injected "Make Your Move" closes the album and also the book on a premier heavy rock band.
