Advantages: Paul Gilbert's pop side Disadvantages: not much fast, crazy guitar playing
...This album shows alot of Paul Gilbert's pop side and doesn't involve much of the carzy, fast guitar playing that Paul Gilbert is known for. After leaving Mr. Big (Paul's previous band with Eric Martin, Pat Torpey and Billy Sheehan) Paul decided to start a solo career and he came up with this album. Some fans were dissapointed at the lack of fast guitar playing that this album had to offer but many were pleased to see another side to Gilbert's musical influence. This album was very influenced by bands such as The Beatles and shows a side of Gilbert that presents song writing as one of his favourite things along with his fast paced guitar rock style.
