... The intro, the strength of it…it's so special! Then the lyrics, it's so reflective! This is one of my favourite songs on the entire CD! The power of it amazes me!
I've never seen Brother Bear, so I cannot put any images to this track! I guess it like it that way, as the beauty lies within ... Read review
Advantages: Massive variety, hours of fun! Disadvantages: Some not too keen on!
...song. I don't think it's best suited., but that's just my opinion on the matter! I don't like Cruella anyway!
11) When I See An Elephant Fly (Dumbo)
Starting off with laughter, it is clear this track is set to bring smiles and happiness! I mean, it's all about a flying elephant, what more would you expect! And fair enough, it does not depress you, but for some reason, I find it boring and ineffective! I don't really attach to ... ...itself!
22) Best Of Friends (Fox And The Hound)
Gentle to begin with, then bouncing in with a mellow yet catchy rhythm, this track is splendid! The vocals (aka the big bird) is suited perfectly with the base of the song, a fantastic match bringing more enjoyment to it!
I love the Fox And The Hound, and this song in particular is one of my favourites from the film! Though, it does not have the same effect on me when I'm ... more
I was browsing the shelves at my local HMV, when I spied this CD; the cover was a gorgeous aqua-blue, with an image of our world centred on the front. Surrounding it was images of several Disney characters, including some of my favourites; Simba, Minnie and Mickey, Buzz Light-year and a selection of others. I picked it up and was shocked at how thick the case was! Turning it over, I noticed that this 3-CD option was jammed packed with seventy five marvellous Disney hits! And to make it even more exciting, this treasure was only £9.95! I simply could not wait any longer to purchase it!
After treating myself to this fabulous find, I took it home and began to examine straight away! Included with it is a little brochure explaining a little bit about each song! After pondering over each track carefully, I decided I should share my magical Disney experience with you…!
**CD1** 1) Breaking Free (High School Musical) This track is amazing! I don't know anybody who does not like this song! The fact that it starts off quite gentle, then hitting in with the power bridge gives it its cutting edge! Of course, it would not be the same without its fantastic singers; Zac Efron and Vanessa Ann Hudgens! This amazing hit is the sensational soundtrack for top musical High School Musical. I have not seen it myself, and I often wonder why! If just one of the tracks from it can bring such joy and happiness, then surely the film itself can give so much more! I must borrow a copy of the DVD, even if it is just to see the scene with 'Breaking Free' in it!
2) You'll Be In My Heart (Tarzan) As I listened to the first few bars of this track, I recognised it, but could not place my fingers on it. Though, when I heard Phil Collins sing, I knew straight away what it was! This Tarzan track has something special about it which I cannot point out. The lyrics, the rhythm, it all seems to stay with you, appropriately, in your heart. It's spectacular! I think I may have seen Tarzan once, but I cannot remember it too well. So when I hear this track, unlike others, I cannot put a scene to the music. It doesn't connect with anything. I guess, in a way, it makes listening to it more enjoyable as I can create my own magical moments to pair up with the music!
3) Circle Of Life (The Lion King) Oh wow! That first cry…the holler…it brings back so much memories in bar one! And as for the rest of the track, I could sit and cry! In a positive way though! It's such a magical track, I think Circle Of Life has to be an iconic song for Disney! "It's the Circle Of Life…!" Who doesn't know it?! It represents so much too; life, triumph, family, relation…! My all-time favourite Disney film is The Lion King, I have seen it so many times, and it is unreal! So I know the scene this track originates from like the back of my hand! All the animals coming together, it gives you such a warming feeling inside of love and life! This track gets top marks!
4) Be Our Guest (Beauty And The Beast) Not many Disney songs start with an Italian speaking now, do they? But that just makes this one even more unique! The way the music escalates and ascends throughout the first verse is something quite special, giving it a magical 'tinkling' sound! You can really feel the buzz from the Italian city, it makes you want to dine there! I've never seen Beauty And The Beast, but we did a play at school a few years back, and we had to perform this song, but it a shorter version. I thoroughly enjoyed it then, and love the full length track just as much!
5) A Whole New World (Aladdin) This is such a gentle track. Starting off with Aladdin singing his heart, Jasmine coming in, creating the duet of the Century! You can feel the magic of Disney swirling around the room when this song is playing! The passion and love projects throughout! I've never seen Aladdin, and became more familiar with this track when Peter and Katie did their version. If I had to choose, I cannot say which I prefer, but this version certainly is top notch!
6) Part Of Your World (The Little Mermaid) This tune starts off with Ariel talking, in a way that she draws attention to the opening bars of the song. If you listen to the lyrics, you really begin to understand this girl, know what she wants; to be human. Of course, I think being a mermaid would be fun, but that's her choice! I have seen The Little Mermaid once or twice, but not really that I can remember! Though, I do know this song quite well - we sang it in Music quite frequently! I think that has spoiled it a bit, but it's still a good track!
7) The Bare Necessities (The Jungle Book) When I first listened to this track, I did not check the title, so I was not aware of what it was. The opening bars do not sound much like the classical track, but after ten seconds or so, Balu bellows in with those good old lyrics "Look for the…!" The beat is so simple yet so effective, it could have you bopping all day! It's been a while since I have seen The Jungle Book, but I do know that film like the back of my hand, and when I listen to this track, I can picture Mowgly lying on Balu's back, floating down the stream! It's such a spectacular song, well fitted to the film!
8) He's A Tramp (The Lady And The Tramp) This song starts off quite slow and gentle, romantic almost. It carries on like this for several seconds, before coming in with the lyrics; "What a dog!" Hitting us with a question grabs our attention to the music, that splendid song about the cute and cheeky Tramp! I love Lady And The Tramp, I remember going into the Pictures to see it when I was little (though it was the first time I had been, and was petrified!). I love the faded barking noises of the dogs in this track, it fits well with the packed scene in the film! Though the actual track itself; not the best, in my opinion!
9) Chim Chim Chimeree (Mary Poppins) Wow! I absolutely adore this cockney song, sung by marvellous actor Dick Van Dyke! Coming straight in with the baffling lyrics about a sweep, the buzz fills the room, and makes you want to get up and dance with a sweeping brush (and so I did!). I love Mary Poppins - it's my favourite musical…ever! And this song is just as grand! I love the whole family working atmosphere in the scene this effective track originates from, as it reflects strong relations between the workers, and how they put sunlight onto even the most negative situations!
10) Cruella De Ville (101 Dalmatians) Roger starts off the song with the 'witch's' name…a frightening thought! This song is quite eerie, not one that could be used to relax yourself! The staccato rhythm makes me want to tiptoe around my room in a long coat! Thankfully, I have yet to do that! Though, I feel there is too much instrumental in this track. 101 Dalmatians is a favourite Disney of mine, but I never did like this song. I don't think it's best suited., but that's just my opinion on the matter! I don't like Cruella anyway!
11) When I See An Elephant Fly (Dumbo) Starting off with laughter, it is clear this track is set to bring smiles and happiness! I mean, it's all about a flying elephant, what more would you expect! And fair enough, it does not depress you, but for some reason, I find it boring and ineffective! I don't really attach to the lyrics! I think, perhaps this is because I have never seen Dumbo before. Or if I have, I cannot remember it! Though, I am aware of the basic outline of the story! This track is simply not for me!
12) Hakuna Matata (The Lion King) If you need to forget your worries, listen to this track! Not only is it about forgetting your troubles and putting the past behind you, but the sheer beat of it puts me in a better frame of mind! It's gentle, yet at the same time it is lively and active! That's the magic of Disney! Sung my Timone and Pummba, this song from The Lion King is on several times throughout the film! I can picture the two friends nurturing little Simba as I listen, causing all those pleasant childhood memories to come flooding back, drowning away in my tears! This track gets top marks from me!
13) Heigh-Ho (Snow White And The Seven Dwarves) This track begins with what I would call 'plunky' music - very effective. It sounds like those little men are working really hard, in their mine of course! This song has my foot tapping, but I don't find myself jiving round the living room to it! I've seen Snow White on the odd occasion, and I am aware of what it is all about. I can picture the scene this track comes from, but it's nothing special for me. This is just another jolly jingle.
14) Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo (Cinderella) Well if there ever were nonsense track in the history of Disney, this would certainly be it! It certainly has me swaying about, clicking my fingers to its glorious rhythm and murmuring along to the gobbledygook lyrics! I love this scene in Cinderella, when the Fairy Godmother is preparing everything for the ball! It's such a magical scene, everybody is so happy, and this is certainly reflected in this song!
15) It's A Small World This song is sung by children. It's most definitely a happy little song, one which I think originates from one of the Disney holiday locations. Which, I am not sure. As far as I am aware, it has not been featured in any of the films. It reflects what Disney is all about; joy and happiness! Enjoying life! And part of it is sung in foreign languages, so it shows how Worldwide the magic of Disney is!
16) The Second Star To The Right (Peter Pan) Starting off mellow and sweet, this song is so soothing and relaxing! The faint noise of trumpets gives it it's power though! You can just imagine drifting around in the sky, floating about, mingling amongst the starts on a magical night! I've only seen Peter Pan a few times, but I am quite familiar with the scene this song comes from; when they are all flying in the sky, making their way to Neverland. It certainly fits in, and it does wonders for calming young children down!
17) Once Upon A Dream (Sleeping Beauty) The first opening bars of this song are quite strengthy and powerful, so it came as a shock when they came to a sudden slow, a much more gentle pace. This is certainly a romantic song, one used to hit you directly in the heart! I've seen Sleeping Beauty, but never have I paid much attention to it! Though, despite this, I am still familiar with this song! That just shows how effective and memorable it has been made!
18) Little April Shower (Bambi) Drip…drip…drip…the opening bars of this track really make you need to pee! But as it speeds up, you easily begin to get a feel for the music! It's so pleasant and gentle! Really peaceful too! Coming from the very emotional classic Disney film, Bambi, there is no doubt this song is quite upsetting, for those of us who know how it ends! But as far as I can remember, there is nothing particularly upsetting about the actual scene this delicate track comes from! Though, it does become quite frightening towards the end…
19) Colours Of The Wind (Pocahontas) I'm not keen on the way this one begins - it's too basic. There seems to be nothing particularly Disney about it. But I do enjoy the chorus of this one, as it sends out messages of fun and adventure! I have seen Pocahontas, but I cannot remember it. Though if I remember correctly, she is whizzing down the river on a log when this song is ringing out. I suppose that is suited, but not my cup of tea!
20) Look Through My Eyes (Brother Bear) There is something special about this song, I just cannot put my finger on it. The intro, the strength of it…it's so special! Then the lyrics, it's so reflective! This is one of my favourite songs on the entire CD! The power of it amazes me! I've never seen Brother Bear, so I cannot put any images to this track! I guess it like it that way, as the beauty lies within the music itself for me, and not with the film it is connected to!
21) They Live In You (The Lion King Broadway) This particular track does nothing for me - I'm not keen on the vocals, and the rhythm has no 'oomph' to it! It's too bland! Though I like the version that is heard on the film itself! This has put me off ever going to see any performances of The Lion King, but thankfully I still adore the film itself!
22) Best Of Friends (Fox And The Hound) Gentle to begin with, then bouncing in with a mellow yet catchy rhythm, this track is splendid! The vocals (aka the big bird) is suited perfectly with the base of the song, a fantastic match bringing more enjoyment to it! I love the Fox And The Hound, and this song in particular is one of my favourites from the film! Though, it does not have the same effect on me when I'm listening to it alongside the film though, it's not as good…I think it is because I focus too much on the images, which bores a little.
23) If I Didn't Have You (Monsters Inc.) For me, there is nothing extra special about this song. Nevertheless, it is still an enjoyment to listen to. It just doesn't seem Disney enough for me! More like a basic film score. Coming from Monsters Inc. makes it slightly more related to my views - I do adore that film! Though I cannot recall hearing this track in it, which in some ways shows the track is not memorable!
24) When You Wish Upon A Star (Pinocchio) There is not a Disney fan out there who has not heard this song! Whether you have seen the film or not, it does not matter! Such an iconic song for Disney now, When You Wish Upon A Star is such an emotionally peaceful track! It's gentle and flowing, a real magical experience! Though the track is marvellous, the scene it comes from is quite bland - Gepetto sitting at the end of the bed, staring at the stars…it's nothing extra special or entertaining! But I shall not let it put the quality of the track down! It's worth a listen!
**CD2** 1) Mickey Mouse March (Mickey Mouse Club) I'd not heard of this one, as I've never watched Mickey Mouse Club, but I recognised the Emm Iii Cee...bit when they spell out 'Mickey' - I think it's from one of the Disney resorts again! This track does not really amuse me, but it's quite a good one, with an even beat for younger ones to dance around and march to!
2) Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Da (Song Of The South) This track starts off with a bit of speaking, before breaking into the main song itself. I think most people have heard the chorus to this song, but I have never heard the verses or anything, nor have I seen the film itself! I'm not keen on this one, it's too slow in progression. But your opinion may be entirely different! It's just not very 'Disney', if you ask me!
3) The Aristocats (The Aristocats) The accent of a Frenchman singing this song, words in English. It's magnificent - really romantic and gentle! This is the opening song from The Aristocats, one of my favourite films! And this track is just as good! The instruments used in this track are marvellous, very sophisticated! They really make you want to get up and jive to its steady, funky rhythm! A track to make you smile!
4) With A Few Good Friends (Piglet's Big Movie) Straight away, I knew this heart-warming track had some connection with Winnie The Pooh - there's something about it that has that gentle little touch to it! I adore this song, although I think it is aimed more at younger children! I've only ever seen the beginning of Piglet's Big Movie, so I was not aware of this song beforehand! Though, I'm glad I've heard it now! I love it, and I'm sure you will too!
5) Can You Feel The Love Tonight (The Lion King) There's magic everywhere…this romantic song sung by Timone and Pummba, then by Simba and Nala, can bring tears to anybody's eyes! This is such a gentle track, originally by Sir Elton John! Though, I prefer this version, to be honest! I love this film - favourite Disney of all time, so I know this scene like the back of my hand! And there's so much memories there, the track is even more emotional! It's a must-have for any Disney album!
6) Beauty And The Beast (Beauty And The Beast) This track begins exceptionally slow, assumingly because it comes from a delicate scene. Though, I have never seen Beauty And The Beast. Listening to the lyrics, I think the vocals are the clock, but I cannot be certain! I do like this track, but its not exactly one of the best! There's no 'oomph' to it, not even when the more powerful bridge kicks in!
7) A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes (Cinderella) Cinderella has to be one of the most well-known Disney films of all time, so there is no doubt this song is just as grand and loved by many! It's so gentle, and unusually, I adore it! I don't cry at it, though it does put my mood down a bit. I'm not sure why though, as it is supposed to be such a magical song! I'm not too sure on my overall opinion on this, but The Ball scene wasn't exactly my favourite scene anyway…
8) Some Day My Prince Will Come (Snow White) This track starts off with Snow White telling a tale to the seven dwarves - a very clever way to do so! And then when the actual lyrics and singing kick in, I change my mind completely. Personally, I'm not keen on this track - it's too much like all the other Disney Princess songs - not original enough for my liking! I can't remember this scene being in Snow White, though I have seen it once or twice, so it obviously did not have a strong impact on my views then either!
9) Baby Mine (Dumbo) What a track! I think it is truly awful! I've never seen Dumbo, as I have already said, so this is the first time I have heard it! And my goodness, I couldn't listen to the entire thing! It's far too slow, too basic…nothing special about it at all!
10) Reflection (Mulan) This starts off with a gentle introduction, a few bells and that. I had no idea what it was from, so I had to check…Mulan! I completely forgot about that film, I'd not heard of it in years! I haven't ever seen it, and never really intended on doing so either! Though, this track has had a pretty good impression on me! It's quite relaxing and a bit more original than the other Disney songs, focusing more on family than on a price or two! I don't think I'll rush out to buy the DVD though, not yet!
11) Kiss The Girl (The Little Mermaid) I'm quite familiar with this track, I'm sure Peter Andre sang it, didn't he? Well this version is from The Little Mermaid, and sung by Sebastian! It's been so long since I briefly saw that film, so I cannot see the scene the song comes from! I do like this track, to a certain extent, but I wouldn't say it's the best! It's more of a second-class track to back up the story!
12) When She Loved Me (Toy Story 2) I don't know what to think about this one. Again, I don't think it's very 'Disney', more of a general film track! And I think the fact that I have not seen Toy Story 2 for such a long time I cannot put a scene to the lyrics so it's not very exciting! It's about Jessie I think...
13) Give A Little Whistle (Pinocchio) I quite enjoy this one...I think the fact that Jiminy Cricket is trying to teach little wooden Pinocchio to whistle is so adorable! And when the main music kicks in, it feels so lively and 'dancy'! If I were alone in the house just now, I'd get up and dance! I'd actually forgotten about this song until now, so I suppose it didn't catch me to start with, but now it will stay with me for life!
14) Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (Mary Poppins) If you were to ask me my favourite musical, it is definitely Mary Poppins! This song is just a fraction of its greatness, and this album would be incomplete without it! Sung splendidly, with its complicated tongue-twisting words in a fabulous cockney accent, it fills me with joy! The scenes in the film itself are just as magical! Although I do praise it greatly, I would not associate it with Disney if I was not aware of its connections!
15) Let's Get Together (The Parent Trap) I was surprised to find a song from The Parent Trap on this CD, I suppose I've never considered it as being Disney! Though, it is a marvellous film all the same! As for the track, well when it first started playing, I thought I recognised it, but I couldn't think where from! Checking, it made more sense! The song is full of so much action and promotes such fun and adventure! Again, not a Disney for me...!
16) The Monkey's Uncle (The Monkey's Uncle) Is that even a film?! Not that I've heard of! And the song itself is just as bizarre! It's quite action-promoting, and a bit dull in my opinion! Again, it doesn't seem very Disney to me...and I have no idea where it comes from!
17) Colonel Hathi's March -The Elephant Song (The Jungle Book) I remember watching The Jungle Book a few years back, after not having seeing it for years! Aside from the classical Bare Necessities, this song seems to stick out the most in the entire film! At the beginning, it is such a strong and powerful track, with the march feel in it, bounding along and encouraging me to do the same. I just love the whole effect it has on the atmosphere - really livens everything up!
18) The Ballad Of Davy Crockett (Davy Crockett) I'd heard of this film, but never have I seen it! I have no idea what it is about either! Nevertheless, I listened to the track to come up with a verdict...It's a very classic country song, very strum-strum, giving it a sort of Western feel to it. Though I find this most powerful at the beginning of the track. Again, it doesn't seem very Disney-like to me!
19) Following The Leader (Peter Pan) Who doesn't know this song then? If you don't , you have no idea what you are missing! I've only watched the actual film once or twice, but this is such a popular track, used for so many different things, such as school performances etc. It's all about the children having fun and playing games (i.e. Following The Leader!), definitely an amazing Disney number! One of my favourites, I think!
20) Yo Ho! (A Pirate's Life For Me) There's something about this song that makes me shudder. I think it's because I've never, ever liked pirates! I guess the song itself is ok, nothing too heavy or complicated, but I don't like listening to it, too weird!
21) The Unbirthday Song (Alice In Wonderland) That's seems like a bit of a weird title for a song, doesn't it? Well, the song itself is just as mad! (What do you expect, when there's a Mad Hatter singing in it?!) I've never been too fond of Alice In Wonderland, though I think this nonsense song has affected my opinion in a negative way. I feel it puts down the image of Disney.
22) The Bells Of Notre Dame (Hunch Back Of Notre Dame) I think I watched this film once when I was a lot younger, and I hated it. To be honest, I think it was because I was scared! So I am familiar with none of the songs! When I listened to this, I found out why! This song sends shivers down my spine within the first few bars, it's awful! It must send terror into little children everywhere! Not a good one! Though, I suppose it would make a good Halloween soundtrack for Disney!
23) What's This? (The Nightmare Before Christmas) I remember when this film first came out, everybody went crazy for it! Everybody except me. So this song, I was unaware of until now! And what did I think when I listened to it? Well, I was certainly surprised! I expected it to sound quite frightening! Though, it sounded exceptionally Christmassy! (understatement of the year, I think!) It definitely had an unexpected magical Disney feel to it! Although it is not one of my favourites, I cannot deny it is a good track!
24) The Wonderful Things About Tiggers (The Tigger Movie) I remember watching this film, going through a long phase where I adored Tigger. Due to this, I know this song like the back of my hand! Not only does it go great with the film, but it sounds magnificent buzzing around my room, unaccompanied! Definitely a track to have me bouncing and flouncing all day long!
25) Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf? (The Three Little Pigs) I've never thought of this song as a Disney, and I still don't. To me, it is more of a nursery rhyme, one to be sung at Primary school! I feel it is a waste of a track on the Disney CD, they could have made a better choice! Though, I suppose it is good for the younger listeners!
26) Mickey Mouse Club, Alma Mater (Mickey Mouse Club) Again, I do not watch the Mickey Mouse Club, so this track was new to me! I discovered it is a very old track, one that probably originates from a Disney resort too. You can tell it's old too, not very upbeat or catchy. I suppose it promotes the beginning of the hit that Mickey Mouse has become!
**CD3** 1) He's A Pirate (Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Curse Of The Black Pearl) I've never seen any of the Pirate' films, and I've never really considered it to be Disney - to me, Disney is cartoon or classic, and as for the songs, well I prefer them to be magical! I didn't know what to expect when I went to listen to this... I recognised it straight away though, perhaps I have heard it on the trailers! It sounds quite familiar, like something out of the Doctor Who episode! Very action-packed and adventurous, though not something I would associate with neither Disney nor pirates!
2) On My Way (Brother Bear) I've not seen Brother Bear, but I remember hearing this song in a trailer quite a while back to promote its release. Straight away, I fell in love with the song, but decided it wasn't enough to just go and watch the film for the song! Now, I'm pleased I have it on CD! It's such a glorious track to listen to! There's something about the tune and the way the lyrics are expressed that makes it magical! I love it, and I'm sure you will too!
3) Everybody Wants To Be A Cat (The Aristocats) Being one of my favourite films, there's no doubt that I know this song inside out. Unfortunately, it is not one of my favourites though; it is too repetitive and dull (though the scene it comes from certainly isn't!). Though the reason I love it is because there is are so much memories attached to this song for me, so it makes listening to it a much greater experience!
4) I Wanna Be Like You (The Jungle Book) This is such a lively song! Straight away, it fills me with energy! Why exactly, I don't know, I guess it is just one of those types of songs! I'd say it is a good song for childrens' parties and such, but it's not the best for just listening to as a track! Another memorable track from the classic Disney film!
5) The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room I have no idea what this track is from! It's very much a tribal song, quite 'boingy'! It's beat is quite steady, and I think I enjoyed it more than I expected to, given the weird and unpredictable title! If I were to make a guess, I'd say it originated from a Disney resort again, most likely an old song!
6) You've Got A Friend In Me (Toy Story) I've never really seen Toy Story properly, but I am quite familiar with this song! I think the majority of people are - it is often used in various other films and shows etc. It's so peaceful and emotional, but at the same time it is heart-wrenching! I've no idea how it fits in with the film though!
7) The Ugly Bug Ball (Summer Magic) I first met this track several years ago when we were singing it at school, so it was a delight to find its magic on this CD! I don't know exactly what it is about the song that makes it so marvellous, but all together the lyrics, the rhythm, the sound...such a splendid combination! Who knew singing about bugs could be such a delight?!
8) Winnie The Pooh (Winnie The Pooh) Well, who doesn't love the fuzzy little tubby bear?! He's such a honey-loving, roly-poly Pooh Bear, and this song is perfect for him! If you listen to the lyrics, you can hear Pooh's description very clearly! You'd be able to tell that it was all about him, unaware of the title! Again, for some reason, I don't seem to connect it with Disney though!
9) So This Is Love (Cinderella) Oh, gees, I actually hate this track! It is far too slow and unprogressing! I don't like the rhythm, I don't like the tempo, and I don't think it is suited to the voice of Cinderella! Though, this is just my negative opinion!
10) Candle On The Water (Pete's Dragon) This song starts off quite nice and gentle, rather peaceful. But when the vocals come in, it is quite off-putting. I suppose the lyrics are ok, but I don't find the voice goes too perfectly with the theme! It's not soft enough for my liking! It does grow on you though. I've not seen Pete's Dragon for years, and I cannot remember this song in it! Shows how memorable it is...(!)
11) Just Around The River bend (Pocahontas) Quick-paced and snappy from the start, this song remains catchy and entertaining throughout the entire track - I love it! It gives off an outstanding vibe! I have no love for river bends like Pocahontas does, but this song is grand! As much as I love this song, I don't really care too much for the film itself, so I'm not really fussed about it too much!
12) Go The Distance (Hercules) This song starts off 'sparkly', giving it a magical, mythical feel to it. I wasn't too keen on that bit, it's not powerful enough! And then when Hercules starts to sing, it's certainly a typical 'hero' song! I'm not too keen... I've never seen the Hercules films, only the TV series, so I am not familiar with this song! Quite frankly, I don't mind - the song is not that great!
13) A Spoonful Of Sugar (Mary Poppins) I've already given so much praise towards Mary Poppins, and why stop now? This amazing track starts off with speaking, before it effectively kicks into the beat of the song with its fun-loving lyrics! I adore this scene in the song as Mary goes about tidying up with the children through using her magic! I always wanted that to happen for real when I was younger! This is one of the first Mary Poppins songs I can remember hearing!
14) The Beautiful Briny (Bed knobs And Broomsticks) Even the beat of this song fits its title - it is such a beautiful and flouncy track! The lyrics just flow smoothly, yet they still seem to fit in with the bobbing beat! Perfect in every way! I absolutely adore this film - always have done! Though, never have I thought of it as a Disney! In fact, I don't think I knew it was Disney until I realised it was on this CD! All the same, it is a great entry for CD3!
15) The Siamese Cat Song (The Lady And The Tramp) Straight away, this song hits us with its appropriate Siamese bell beat! Then, in comes the vocals from these cheeky little cats! They carry on this oriental song with their comic lyrics, and they do it in such a way that you can picture their sly little faces - it makes me laugh! I never did like these cats in the film...but the song, on the other hand, is marvellous! I can picture the scene it comes from as I listen, and I can see all the mischievous little antics they are getting up to...naughty little kitties!
16) Under The Sea (The Little Mermaid) Appropriately, this song has a very 'sea' effect to it, with Sebastian singing the splashy lyrics to the lively and entertaining track. The rhythm has a certain strength to it, it makes you want to stand up and dance straight away! I can't remember this song being in the film, though I do remember hearing it on Dancing On Ice, when one of the couples danced to it. Since then, I have liked this song, and can picture their sassy routine as I listen! Not that memorable in terms of a Disney track though!
17) Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride (Lilo And Stitch) This is clearly a Hawaiian song, and not just because of the title! It's very sassy and hot! Makes you want to dance and smile, there's no escaping it's magic! It's not a track I would normally listen to if I were to choose myself, but when I stumbled across this new material, I fell in love with it! Though, I don't remember it being in Lilo And Stitch!
18) I Won't Say (Hercules) Kicking in with what I feel are appalling lyrics, I took an instant disliking to this confusing and mixed up track. I have no idea what it is about, and can't even say anything positive about its rhythm!
19) Strangers Like Me (Tarzan) I'm really confused by this track. I've never heard it before, and I can't say it is a bad track, the beat is ok, the tempo fair. And when the chorus kicks in, I suppose it is quite reasonable. But I do not recognise it so I cannot relate to it, and there isn't anything extra special or specific about it which I could praise it for!
20) Jungle Rhythm (The Jungle Book 2) This came as quite a lively and jivy beat. Not a song I could really listen to, but it's one certainly you could dance to! Not proper dancing, but sort of shuffling, bobbing...it's very entertaining and amusing! I've seen The Jungle Book 2, but I cannot remember this track being in it. Nevertheless, it is still in my positive books, and there it will remain!
21) One Little Slip (Chicken Little) When I first heard this, I never would have guessed it was a Disney! It begins with a guitar solo, and then when the vocals start, it remains sounding like a chart song, more than a score for a film! It's quite a good song in itself though! I've never seen Chicken Little so I cannot comment on whether I feel it fits with the film or not, but I'd imagine it came from a sort of action scene, when the animals are busy or something!
22) Why Not (The Lizzie McGuire Movie) Amazing from the start! This is definitely a pop chart topper, with Hilary on the amazing vocals, projecting out the spectacular lyrics! I want to dance all day to this song, it's certainly a concert piece, and it's really catchy and addictive too! Although I feel it is a spectacular song, I cannot remember hearing it in the movie, which I am surprised at! All the same, it gets top marks from me!
23) Supernatural (That's So Raven) This track is certainly a jivy song, the rhythm is very heavy and demanding! The lyrics are not clear, but they add a special magnificent feel to the song! It's quite an addictive track, but I don't think I'll find myself singing to it all day! I was quite surprised to find a song from That's So Raven on this CD, even though I am aware that it is a Disney! It's a great track, and being the first time I have heard it, it's certainly hooked onto me!
24) Cheetah Sisters (The Cheetah Girls) This track begins nice and gentle, and even the opening lyrics are heart-warming and calming. It's very sweet, and remains this way for quite some time, before the ice is broken with a power guitar solo, and the girls belt in with an incredible chorus! Again, I never imagined The Cheetah Girls track to infiltrate its way onto this CD! All the same, I am pleased it has! I've not seen that film yet, despite the good reviews it has had, and now I think I must go and borrow a copy from somebody!
25) Best Of Both Worlds (Hannah Montana) This song begins with claps - which I found unusual - before Hannah starts to sing. She has a splendid voice, it really fits with the tune, and she is a great representative for teens all over! I adore the chorus to this song too, it's so strong, but not too overpowering! I have no idea how many times I have walked into the Disney Store and this song has been playing! To begin with, I wasn't keen on it, but the more I heard it, it grew and grew on me. Now, I adore it, and I am so pleased this top track is on the CD!
***** 75 tracks later, and the magnificent music is buzzing right round me ears! Disney has certainly brought together such a marvellous compilation of all their best tracks! Though, I was quite disappointed that there was nothing from Simba's Pride, or Oliver And Co. on it, as they too are my favourites! I think they could fill another massive album with classical and 'fresh' Disney hits!***** I'd personally recommend this CD to quite literally anybody! Disney suits people of all ages! And even if you didn't like Disney much, the music is still really grand to listen to, providing tracks for whatever mood you're in, tracks suitable for all occasions, tracks which you feel are personal - just for you!

Advantages: Great value for 3 CDs, plenty of songs for all the family to enjoy. Disadvantages: Some periods of slow, lesser known tracks in a row.
I bought this CD for my 6 year old Disney obsessed daughter. Great value as you get 3 CDs. All of the CDs have tracks that you and your children will recognise and know enough to sing along to, which is great for long car journeys.
There is a good mixture of older Disney songs from films and TV, such as 'Have you ever seen an elephant fly' from Dumbo, and newer ones such as 'Breaking free' from High School Musical, with plenty of variety on all ... ...on the CDs there are several slow, lesser known tracks in succession from films such as Tarzan and Mulan, which can be a bit dull.
This CD can be enjoyed by adults and children alike, but I suspect once boys hit about 6 years old they would just think 'yuk' this is for girls, but luckily we haven't hit that point yet.
Overall, it is well worth the money, with enough tracks on that you won't tire of it too quickly. ...

Advantages: CVery relaxing and suitable for children. Disadvantages: You should like easy listening music.
This album is a set of three cds, and the box really looks nice with a nice color and design: I have to admit it really get you interested, also for having all the Disney's characters printed on the cover.
There is the soundtrack of the most famous movies from Disney, for a total of 75 songs: it is a great valued indeed for the album will cost you less than ten dollars: you can't take a better bargain around.
The songs here are really dreamy, as ...
