Advantages: Relaxing story telling music with a bit of heart
Disadvantages: Too boring

...OK album, with a nice mix of different artist most of which i have never hear of before. As you can probably tell I'm not usually into this kind of music but being someone always looking to expand my musical horizons, I thought i would give it a go but was not too impressed. Most of the songs featured were not too impressive, many of which sounded very boring and generic for the genre. Track 15, Green Fields of France - Furey & Davey Arthur was probably one of the most impressive tracks on the album; this song featured delicately sung lyrics and an impressive story which i think is based on world war 2. Some of the other tracks were almost up to this standard but were too boring and didn't catch my attention.... Read review

Advantages: Total, unadulterated FUN!
Disadvantages: Slightly irritating after a while!

...Yes folks, it may truly have been the most irritating song in the whole entire history of the world, but love it or hate it, you'd have had to have been dead not to have known the words!! It's a very catchy number and i'd be surprised if you hadn't caught yourself singing along to it at least once! Personally, although I'm thoroughly ashamed to admit it, I like the song!! I mean it makes me giggle, it's just a whole load of unadulterated fun and it doesn't harm anyone (except for Barbie herself of course, who didn't find it terribly amusing!) I can't listen to this tune without smiling since I saw two of the hardest bloes in the pub singing along to t on karaoke!!... Read review

Advantages: good mix of songs
Disadvantages: some songs which you might expect done feature, some questionable choices

...This double disc cd is one which I do very much enjoy listening to due to the wide variety of songs both across musical genres and years. It does include many hits that could easily be described as classics such as songs from Queen and the kinks. However since it is named the best number one singles in the world ever i do think that some of the song choices are slightly questionable. I am not quite sure how the likes of ian Durys hit me with your rhythm stick can be compared to the marvellous hits of diana ross or the beach boys. Although i do enjoy the modern songs by kylie minogue and robbie williams, who do happen to be favourites of mine, im not sure that just yet cant get you out of my head and rock dj are quite ready to be labelled the best singles in the world ever, especially when some very classic and widely known songs from...
