...This is a great soundtrack, fully evoking the strength and grandeur of the film. The cd has some truly exhilarating moments and features some excellent playing, in particular the lyrical trumpet playing - as a brass student at the RCM I should know! Hans Zimmer constantly produces excellent scores, I was hooked from Backdraft (the best soundtrack ever) and even the Lion King was acceptable thanks to his evocative orchestral writing. The choice of wordless lyrics for the singer added to the ancient rome-evoking feel of the soundtrack and the fierce rhythms in the battle music were precisely correct.... Read review

Advantages: v. eclectic
Disadvantages: getting on a bit now

...Allsaints mix RnB and pop and they do it very well! if you like there new stuff youll love yhere old stuff all the best tracks were released but thats not to say the other tracks werent good they were in fact they were great. Normally im not a fan of this type of music but here is my acception Ive had it for about 2 years and still havent actually gone off it, It has a mix a tearjerkers upbeat andcover songs including the cover of the already brill song under the bridge previously by the red hot chilli peppers! definitely one for the collection and if you dont wanna buy it coz youve heard all the tracks get the new one its bound to be a smash!... Advantages: sweet love songs with great words
Disadvantages: a little too sloppy for some maybe?

...One of her best albums so far with great tracks like Hero, Without You that are extremely powerful and excellent songs.. she has so much emotion in her voice and you know she is realy feeling what she is singing. A smooth, sweet and very soulful voice, outstandilngly talented all of the tracks are good or excellent accept for maybe one or two that are a bit jumpy and too gospel for me. She has a very unique voice and one that you recognise straight away, she has amazing natural talent and delivers excellent feel good music in this album Lots of inspiring lyrics that most of us can relate too..Vocally a very impressive album as with most of Mariah Careys work. Definately worth buying and adding to your cd collection. Very Good.... Read review
