...Ten years ago I was introduced to a French rap artist by the name of MC Solaar. The album in question was called Qui Seme le Vente Recolte le Tempo and I remember being pretty impressed by the slick, jazzy hip hop that was unlike anything I’d heard before. I’m not a great fan of this style of music, but I clearly recollect thinking… oh, this is good. Completely different to the grating, bassier NWA and Public Enemy I’d been exposed to previously, MC Solaar was much smoother, more melodic, altogether a more complete musical experience. Think of maybe a more mature Cypress Hill, minus the playground rhymes and annoying vocals.
But that was then. To my shame I didn’t followed him up until recently. I was actually looking up some info about a Senegalese vocalist called BaabaMaal, who you may or may...

Advantages: Good collection of their hits. Disadvantages: Can get v. repetitive and drab.

...with a back tingling sensation makes the start of the song unique to the others. The voice starts of quite queitly , but later on the rock comes back into it with the powerful Whitesnake voice!...
"Here I Go Again On My Own
Here I Goooooo"
Classic. As you can tell by the second "Go" in the lyrics qoute , the powerful voice of David Coverale returns back , completely different to the start of the song. This song reminds me of when i had to have the confidence of doing something hard , on my own!
I learnt from this , and after i knew i could do it....
Another enjoyable song , but not the best....
Overall , this song gets a 6/10. It isn't the the best song , but it has some great lyrics , and backing use and the voices are sublime. Then again , it is a slower more boring song after you have listened to it a few times over...
