...I remember seeing a trailer for Kill Bill when it was still just one film. I've always been a fan of Quentin Tarantino and of Japanese culture in general so I was quite looking forward to this. When I found out it was going to be split into two I was kinda annoyed but pleased that the experience would last longer than I thought. The film centres around The Bride (Uma Thurman) a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, lead by the eponymous Bill. When she finds out she's pregnant by Bill, she leaves the squad to set up a more quiet, serene life, and finds a young man. But on her wedding day she is gunned down by Bill and the four other members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. ...In a remote Texan chapel, an atrocity has been committed. A wedding party has been brutally slain, their bodies battered, bloodied and riddled with bullet holes. Still in her white wedding dress, the bride’s body is perhaps the most tragic.
