This album costs £9 on CD and has all the hit singles plus some new tracks.
The band have really only been having hits since May 2001 and already a "Best Of" is out, while they apparently take a year's break.
Here's a track listing and some commentary.
1. All Rise (Radio Version)
This was an instant Top 10 smash and is probably still their best track. It's a pop, R 'n' B tune with a great chorus.
2. Too Close
This is a cover version of a song which originally only reached the Top 20. It's quite a good song but the women singing on it, should have been credited. Lee's voice is really excellent on this mid-tempo track. It's great for the clubs.
3. If You Come Back
This is my favourite song. It's a beautiful ballad.
"Maybe I didn't know how to show it, maybe I didn't know what to say". Great stuff.
4. Fly By II
This is quite a boring track, which sounds very similar to "All Rise".
5. One Love
Another boring track, with ludicrous mentions of "hip hop beats". Again, it sounds like "All Rise".
6. Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word (Radio Edit)
A good cover version of the Elton John song, featuring Elton himself. The harmonica in the middle sounds like "All Rise" (yet again!) but it's really good. Duncan sounds brilliant.
7. U Make Me Wanna (Radio Edit)
This is a mid-tempo love song and while all 4 Blue boys sound good, the material is bland.
8. Guilty
Co-written by Gary Barlow, this track reminds me of Take That at their best. It's a ballad about how hurtful it is if you genuinely love someone who already has a partner.
"If it's wrong to tell the truth, what am I suppose to do.....if loving you will my heart's a crime, then I'm guilty".
9. Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours
This cover of the Stevie Wonder track features Stevie himself and Angie Stone. It's ok but not a patch on the original and it all feels a little forced, as though it was the record company's decision.
10. Breathe Easy (Album Edit)
A large, swirling ballad, this shows off Lee's voice yet again.
11. Bubblin' (Single Version)
This is a fairly pleasant pop track but it doesn't stick in the mind.
12. Curtain Falls
This typical R 'n' B track seems to sample "Past Time Paradise" and it's about the end of an era....
13. Get Down On It
A pretty good version of the Kool & The Gang track. Excellent.
14. Love At First Sight
A fairly average "filler" track.
15. Best In Me
Good singing but again, a bland song. A disappointing end to the album.
I think "Get Down On It" would have been a better way to end this collection.
The album cover has the lads dressed in black, against a montage of images from London.
I would recommend this album, even if you only like a 2 or 3 songs. It's cheaper to buy this than to try and find CD singles at £4 a time.
This won't be a classic in years to come but Blue are a pleasant enough band.
Advantages: theyve brought all of their best songs together on one album Disadvantages: it has old songs and you might want some new songs
I won this on CD in a radio competition and am a great fan of blue. On this album you sort of know what your getting because it has all of those blue classics which includes three number one tracks All Rise, Guilty etc. are on it There are some new tracks on the album indluding their latest single "Curtain falls". This album will appeal alot to blue fans but if your not a fan I wouldnt say is for you, if you havent really heard their music blue sing ...

Advantages: Includes 5 superb tracks plus a very good 20 page album sleeve. Disadvantages: None.
...This I believe is their best album given that it includes "All Rise", "If You Come Back", "Fly By II", "One Love", and "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" (Duet With Elton John). This is a very cheap CD to pick up either new or second hand and a great buy for the content that is on it. There is also a very good 20 page album sleeve including all song lyrics and some good colour photos of the group in pop type poses. 1. All Rise (Radio Version) Blue ... ...12. Advantages: A brilliant album Disadvantages: None at all
...This is the latest double album in a long long line of excellent albums by The Moody Blues. There isn't a weak track on the Strange Times album and the Moodies have managed to record new, up to date material whilst still retaining their unique sound.
The opening track, English Sunset, is the Moody Blues at their very best - catchy enough to sing along to but with the depth of feeling that only they can portray. For the romantics amongst you, you won't find better tracks than All That Is Real Is You and My Little Lovely.
The CD is brilliant and the live performance at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year took my breath away. Words cannot describe the wonderful feeling watching these people enjoying performing their music as much as we were enjoying listening to it - if that's possible!
The 'Best of' album is exactly what it says...

...When John Lee Hooker listened to this album it moved him to declare ?I can?t find no serious defects? high praise from the big man of blues. Blues is probably the best genre to lump Gomez in, though they are to some extent a genre spanning band, though not as many as some. Standard blues you won?t find on this album, not even Hoochie Coochie Man or anything approaching a blues standard. Alternative blues perhaps, though don?t go thinking this is Jon Spencer. It?s a laid back, mainly lo-fi approach with tracks like Tijuana Lady that just seem to float in on the breeze. Perhaps slacker blues would be the best way to describe Gomez?s unique sound; there?s certainly not many other bands with this sound, and that, along with the sheer quality of the songs, is why I like this album as much as I do....

Advantages: Moore gets better with age! Disadvantages: Only 10 songs
...I have been listening to Gary Moore for a long time now and I believe his blues albums are his best work. "Old New Ballads Blues" is exactly as it sounds. 4 Old blues songs that Gary makes is own, 6 penned by Gary, including an instrumental and all 10 vary in tempo with some lovely slow blues.
Gary and his trusty Gibson have done it again and this album leaves you feeling mellow / relaxed and exilerated at the same time!
The only flaw is the fact that there are only 10 songs on the album. I personally look for between 12 and 16 songs so, for me, that was a bit of a let down.
This is a must for any blues fan. I can't wait to see him on his UK tour in Glasgow in May!!!...
