Disadvantages: Is a populist take on the disco era.

...This album is a broad yet typical retrospective of the commercial side of the disco era. Staples of the disco scene such as Chic and Earth, Wind & Fire feature here, yet in their most famous incarnations as opposed to the music that changed the face of the dance underground forever. There are rare stand out moments such as the highlighted Brothers Johnson classic 'Stomp' and Diana Ross's Chic penned athem 'Upside Down' however, overall this album is a good album for those that think of disco as a Car Wash style flares and afro 'Good Times' party. It's not for the connoisseurs of disco for whom any one of the Larry Levan or Joey Negro compilations would be better suited.... Read review

Advantages: Fun, dancey, great disco

...Chic - the most well known disco act of all time. Some people probably think 'Dance, Dance, Dance', 'Good Times' and 'Le Freak' were all they had. Even I thought that. Wrong. This 11 track compilation from the first part of their career has some of their strongest songs on it. The tracklisting is as follows: 1. Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah) 2. Savoir Faire If you are interested in disco, but don't want to invest in just compilations, this is a good start. Where to begin describing this? ...RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE THE BATTLE OF LOS ANGELES This album i got quite a few months ago and and i still love listening to it! it just never gets boring! the album includes testify, guerrilla radio, mic chic, sleep now in the fire, born of a broken man, born as ghosts, maria, voice of the voiceless, new millennium homes, ashes in the fall and war within a breath. and in the bocklet is the lirics to every song. This my not be thier best album but very enjoyable to listen to. 8/10... Read review
