. This track seems to prove that DeepPurple has the authority to go heavy metal. The timing of the instruments is good.
This is not my favorite track in this album but I don't mind listening to this one.
The Album
DeepPurple Made In Europe is a live album released in 1976 after the members disbanded. It contains 5 tracks which were recorded in 1975.
This album underwent extensive editing in recording due to overwhelming applause, whistling and crowd noise while DeepPurple performed the songs.
I accidentally got this album in a Christmas party 6 years ago. It was meant to be given to a man. The supposedly recipient of this CD wasn't able to attend the party. To make the long story short, this CD ended up in my possession. It was Christmas so I didn't complain at all.
This album is good but not the best. I would have appreciated ...
Advantages: Great mixture of songs Disadvantages: burn should have been live
the years DeepPurple never strayed from the type of music they were famed for.
This cd has various songs from those line ups and is a studio album of what i consider all their best tunes.
The Songs
1)Black night:....
Made as a chart single in 1970 it reached number 2 and is probably one of the most recognised DeepPurple tracks.
2)Speed King....
Taken from the1970 number 4 chart album 'In Rock' its a fast paced song and has excellent drum and keyboard throughout and a great one for those friday nights to put you in the mood for going out.
3)Fireball...
Taken from the album of the same name which charted at number one in 1971 its another pacy song with brilliant drums and keyboards and lyrically good.
4)Strange Kind Of Woman....
Charting as a single in 1971 this is a medium paced song which centres around a woman ...

DeepPurple were one of the first heavy metal bands and this greatest hits album shows some of their evolution from a softer more ballad-like sound to some seriously rocking heavy tracks. No one who enjoys hard rock could be without some DeepPurple. Singers David Coverdale (who went on to form White Snake) and Ian Gillan (whose band was called Gillan) went on to have enormously successful careers after leaving Purple, yet they will always be best respected for their work while members of this influential band. Probably the most easily recognised guitare riff in rock history is that of Smoke On the Water, an all-time favourite track for many fans of the genre.
