...This is a beautiful album by Australian Idol runner up Shannon Noll. It stormed the Aussie charts and went straight to the top spot. This is his debut album, but he certainly does not sound like an amateur. Indeed, he even co wrote one of the songs, though he had no previous experience.
Perhaps the most memorable song on the album was his debut hit 'Learn to fly', released shortly after the end of the hit tv show which launched him to fame. There is also a beautiful cover of 'What about me', superbly sung and very touching. Noll's voice has a beautiful smoothness to it, and occassionally he adds a more gruff quality to it, not unlike that of Bryan Adams, one of Noll's inspiratipons when it comes to performing. The album is a combination of the rock/pop genre.
The album is available as an import from Australia on Amazon for around 13...

...Twisted was released in 1995 and since that day has been one of the most loved, most listened to and most comforting cds in my collection.
I think that anyone who really likes music wants to find that one special band, that one particular sound that makes everything seem just that little bit easier when you hear it.
For me, Del Amitri is that band.
I listen to their music and for that time i feel uplifted, happy, relaxed, comfortable and more to the point, content with the fact that i am listening to some very accomplished musicians.
And so, to Twisted, i would say, in my opinion, this is their best known album. Certainly amongst people i know anyway.
I also know someone who claims to hate Del Amitri and yet even he admits to liking 3 of the songs on this album, which i think speaks volumes in respect of this being a very fine album...

...to it and I don't mean that badly, its nice to be soothed so much by one cd.
The theme on this cd is mostly a natural rythmic feeling, guitars and classical sounds, but with some electric influence, but as i have said, nothing shocking, I have heard alot of these tunes on BBC 1's Holiday programme and i'm sure most people would recognise a few of the tunes at least.
There are 13 tracks on this cd, and as usual, they range from different era's, most are from 1996, one from 1991 and track 3, Sueno con Mexico, a classical guitar piece is from 1979. On almost all of the Cafe del mar cd's you will find one track from about 30 years ago, but it will fit in, and its age won't show, infact you will probably find it to be the best track on the cd and will want to find more music by the artists.
Volume 3 also boast's the best and most fragile cover...
