Delerium Tremens is wonderfully presented. The stone effect bottle, with the blue foil and the pink elephants, set the scene wonderfully. Its creators, the Huyghe Brewery, Melle, Belgium, have been brewing this beer to a recipe since 1695. It's a very rich beer, with a smooth slightly hoppy taste and perhaps just a hint of a smokey flavour. There is perhaps a touch of citrus. Unfortunately for me, that touch of citrus isn't enough to overcome the sweetness of the beer. Huyghe, just haven't been able to hide the massive alcohlic strength of this beer.It's a full 9% and to get there there Huyghe's must have produced an O.G. of over 1100. I can't help being reminded of those over-strengthed "danish lagers" popular in the 1980's.That said,even they must have had a market somewhere. For those, like me, without the sweet ...

Jools Holland - always at his best.

I would just like to write a review on Jools Holland Best of Friends, a CD with a DVD bonus pack on the king of rhythm and blues. We all know of him from his specials at New Year, along with the numerous shows that he does during the year. As the title does actually point out, this is all about Jools performing with his friends. The tracks on the CD are as follows, along with who actually performed them with him: 1. Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra - Tuxedo Junction. 2. Lulu - Where have all the good guys gone? 3. Chrissie Hynde - Out of this world. 4. Review of Best Of Friends (+DVD) [Digipak] - Jools Holland

the best in town , a new high for the blackout

Advantages: delivers some awesome songs and an overall great sound

the best in town is the second full album released by the welsh post hardcore band , the blackout. Having listened to the previous album i had high hopes for the album although this is the first album on their new record label Epitah so my concern was that they would keep the right formula. The unique 6 member band fshowcase welsh talent for post hardcore rock music, their real unique feature is that of two singers for screaming and melodies which adds up to a very polished and individual sound. This album , the best in town proves to me that the success of the first full album was no fluke delivering a powerfull sound with heavy guitar riffs and scorching screamo amongst the melodic singing. The addition of a guest singer who is the lead singer of youmeatsix was also a pleasent surpirse when listening to the album. Tracklist: 1.Shut ...
