Album Notes: Reggae singer Delroy Wilson had a long and prolific career (cut short by his premature death in 1995), but his Studio One work from the 1960s is the foundation on which his legend is built. Though Wilson was only a teen at the time, he was backed by some of the hottest studio musicians in Jamaica, and his deeply soulful blend of rocksteady, ska, and roots styles helped him become one of the best and most beloved singers of the era.
Advantages: First time on cd for many tracks Disadvantages: pastiche agenda limits wider appeal
...Slightly more worthy than her solitary hit "Just What i Always Wanted "suggests, provided its approached and enjoyed as pure pastiche and indulgent nostalgic enjoyment, even in 1982 Mari Wilson was portrayed as nostalgic ,her 15 minuteds of fame arriving at the tail end of a post punk mod revival, the whole concept relied on and evoked an age that never quite was, stylish lyrics ,glamorous outfits and a showband mentality that recalled the glory days of The Supremes ,Lulu and Sandie Shaw all put together on a shoestring budget inSouth London at the turn of the eighties initially as a very appealing live draw along the lines of Paul Youngs Q-Tips with a little less sweat.
The aforementioned hit single is fairly representative of the rest of this fantastically priced collection and its a minor mystery how she didnt achieve at least half...

Advantages: The finest live album ever created. entertainment 100% Disadvantages: Are there any?
...One of the finest live albums of all time, by one of the greatest live acts of all time. This was taken at the height of the who’s popularity and musical ability. With these two factors convening upon one another the inevitable occurred…a classic was born. All of the who’s finest songs get played with the usual added solos and improvisations. You will get a fantastic 15-minute epic version of ‘My Generation’ including the usual Tommy montage. However the best has just become better with the able addition of a second disk and new packaging in the ‘deluxeedition’. The new album contains a near complete performance of Tommy. Tommy live is always such an exciting event, and this is one of the best recordings of a live version, only the isle of white festival 1970 comes close to this majesty...

Advantages: Great tunes and you get the music videos too Disadvantages: none
...Wow! As a big beyonce fan i was not dissapointed by B'day deluxe addition as it has a lot of sas and some great songs that make you want to get up and dance. It has all the songs that the original Bday album comes with such as Irreplaceable and Dejavu and includes the newly released songs such as Beautiful liar and Ring the Alarm. The album has a combination of fast beat pop songs with classic R'nB and one or two slow ballads. My two favourite tracks have to be Flaws and All- a love ballad with a fresh twist , and Get me bodied- a fast upbeat song, perfect to listen to before you go on a night out.
If the insanely great range of music wasn't enough the Bday deluxeedition also has dvd versions of some of Beyonces videos.(Some of the videos included are Irreplaceable, Flaws and All, Freakum Dress, Ring the Alarm and Beautiul Liar which...
