Advantages: A good selection of well known disco classics
Disadvantages: A mere tip of a whopping great big disco iceberg, shop around for some real disco gems!

I believe that a purchase of "Disco Fever" provide you with pretty much a decent selection of classic disco classics. I dont feel that the tracks on the CD are by far the best funk/disco tracks out there, however for a nostalgic take on the disco era, not a bad effort. heres the track listing: 1. The Best Disco In Town CD

Advantages: 3 Disks, 60 Tracks
Disadvantages: Some Good Music / Some Bad

The Best Disco in Town CD. I bought this cd in ASDA about a month ago and the reason it had attracted my attention was because it had artists on that i liked such as The Jacksons and Kool and the Gang. What also attracted my attention was that the package included 3 cd's with 60 tracks on. Some of the tracks i had never heard before listening to this cd and some i just had to switch because the didn't match my taste in music however most of the i liked. Review of Best Disco In Town, The - Various Artists

Mostly from the 80s, not many hits & almost no disco tracks

Advantages: The 6 number 1 records
Disadvantages: The rest of the tracks are rubbish

can't really be classed as disco even though its origins are rooted there. The track name did spawn a new musical genre though. 2. Ain't Nothing But A House Party - The Contours. If this was ever a hit anywhere then I can't find any references to it nor could I find a release year, the song itself is a Motown tune. Definately not disco, not even close. 3. Another Man - Barbara Mason. From 1984, its best position was #45 in the UK charts so it can't be considered to be a hit in any way, shape or form. The Americans said it was R&B and it reached #68 in that chart. So not a hit and certainly not disco. 4. Saddle Up - David Christie. Also from 1984, this album isn't doing very well as far as Disco era tunes goes so far is it?
