Advantages: Unique, different and addictive
Disadvantages: Quite a lot of the songs sound the same

...Panic! At the Disco have been the spearhead of the recent fad called emo that may not be to everybody's taste, but they have received recent success not only in the charts but most of their concerts have been sold out. I guarantee you won't regret it buying this album especially if you are into new and alternative rock. Their lyrics are unique and catchy and a highlight of their lyric writing prowess is shown in 'I Write Sins not Tragedies' with the lyrics being cleverly built into a story and song. I have found myself addicted to the syncopated rhythms and brilliant melodies of Panic! At the Disco. My three favourite tracks from the album are 'The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage', 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies' and 'Build God, Then We'll Talk'. .... One of the things that makes this band so good is their lyrics. Not one of their songs contains the usual industrial produced slush that tha most bands in britain today find acceptable. That is why i reckon sales are down right now. If we could get more bands like four star then the sales trend would be reversed. The best thing about the album is that you can get it reasonably priced on amazon considering it is imported, it only cost me £9.99. But i have let all my friends hear it and all have admitted that it is awesome. So if you ever look up at a shelf and see a fadding dusty copy of this album and you have the money just buy it. You'll never look back it is just the most under-rated album/band/songs there has ever been... Read review

Advantages: Brilliantly constructed songs, beautiful melodies and awe inspiring guitar work.
Disadvantages: The odd filler track.

...I first heard of him from someone on Myspace who constantly went on about how his album was amazing and he was such a great guitarist. I disregarded this and thought it was just another fad of hers until one day I checked on the music section and saw he was featured. Out of curiosity I clicked onto his profile, and to be honest, I was a little dissapointed by what I heard. The first single released off the album - "Dream Catch Me", is sadly, probably one of the weakest on there. It does grow on you, but it definitely isn't the best. On further listening, my interest suddenly peaked. The song; "I need something" caught my ear instantly. All of a sudden it was more than just your standard acoustic folk rock sound, it was a brilliantly constructed piece of art with bouncing guitar and superbly controlled vocals.
