Advantages: Great jazz tunes from the Golden Age Disadvantages: None
...of microphones was to he left, the other two the right. Mostly, they didn't fail, so the company was left with two good master discs. In order not to waste them, they would produce record pressings from both masters, labelling them up to differentiate the two masters. Apparently a jazz historian found out about this and was able, by tracking down two records of the same performance, but produced from the different masters, to re-master them as a brand new stereo release, using the original recordings.
The St Louis Shuffle from FletcherHenderson is a good example of the St Louis style of jazz, combining jazz and blues. Actually, FletcherHenderson did more than this, he really put his own mark on this, by a variety of musical techniques and instruments. Based on this tune, I think he was robably more genuinely experimental than people like Charlie...

Advantages: Great Vocals, Intelligent Lyrics, Unique in sound, Disadvantages: Lacks Consistency, unsure direction
.... It is however true that although "Nothing Means Everything" is a great album it is undecided on which direction they will go. An album to be enjoyed by both pop and rock fanatics, the Dykeenies have created an album for a "catch all audience" and its appeal will definitely do that.
Track Reviews
01 The Panic - A loud and velocious track. The album begins in style with this heavy and intense track about the realisation of having a sexually transmitted disease. Brian Henderson pushes his vocals to the limit to add paranoia and bite making a great listen. Unique to the rest of the album, the track generates rebellious rock proving the Dykeenies can cut it with that genre. The band gives absolutely everything to this song immediately noticed by the roar this track gives when bursting into action. A great song.
02 Waiting for Go - My favourite track...
