It is only when you sit down and let the entire album run that you realise exactly how many hits this greatly underrated band have scored over the last decade. From the stripped down Laid to the epic Seven, they just keep coming.
There are also some diverse moments instrumentally. One minute you are faced with the beauty of the piano-led She’s a Star, the next it’s brass on Born of Frustration which speaks volumes for the band’s versatility and their willingness to be just a little bit experimental.
It is simply an album that does not have a duff track on it and is a fitting summary of James’ output to date.
