Not many people can say they have released a 'Best Of' album by their 21st birthday, but LeAnn Rimes is not many people. She came onto the music scene at 13, and has been producing hits ever since. Her new album is a compilation of her biggest hits, including her very first song, and her most recent song.
Album Track List: 1: Can't Fight the Moonlight 2: Life Goes On 3: How Do I Live 4: I Need You 5: We Can 6: Last Thing On My Mind (Ft. Ronan Keating) 7: This Love 8: But I Do Love You 9: Written in the Stars (Ft. Elton John) 10: Suddenly 11: The Right Kind of Wrong 12: Commitment 13: Please Remember 14: Crazy 15: Blue 16: Looking Through Your Eyes 17: You Light Up My Life 18: One Way Ticket (Because I Can) 19: How Do I Live (Mr Mig Dance
Radio Edit) 20: Can't Fight the Moonlight (Latino Mix)
Info on album songs: Bursting onto the country music scene with a song called 'Blue' in 1996, LeAnn was at the tender age of 13. 'Blue' was written by a DJ named Bill Mack, and was originally written for Patsy Cline.
Following the single was a continuing string of hits, right up to LeAnn's most recent hit 'We Can' (from the film Legally Blonde 2: Red White And Blonde). Her second single, 'One Way Ticket (Because I Can)' went to No.1, and her next single 'The Light In Your Eyes' was another hit that showed us LeAnn had the ability to go far. Around same time, LeAnn was asked to sing a song written by Diane Warren for the up and coming movie 'Con Air'. Yes, you guessed it, the song was 'How do I live?', which gave LeAnn her first real taste of pop music, and which stayed in the charts for a record number of weeks. It will stay in DJ's record collections for years to come, and will probably be played at every celebration too. And you can guarantee it will be included on all the Love Albums for the next ten years at least. In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard, and LeAnn's voice really does the song justice.
After the success of 'How do I live?', LeAnn leant slightly more towards pop music in her following singles, but still most of the singles flew up the country charts, with 'Commitment' and 'I Need You' also becoming Top 10 hits. When 2000 arrived, LeAnn recorded more pop songs written by Diane Warren for the "Coyote Ugly" soundtrack. 'Can't Fight The Moonlight' became the biggest hit of the album, sending it straight up the charts to make it go multi-platinum, and is still one of my favourites to this day. She released her first pop album (Twisted Angel), in 2002. (The big single from that album was 'Life Goes On'), possibly pushed by that slight Shania Twain streak, but still very distinguishable.
Singing 'We Can', LeAnn proves she sounds better than ever, which swayed the producers of Legally Blonde 2 to choose it for the end credits of the film. Also, she has sung with Ronan Keating (of Boyzone fame) on 'Last Thing On My Mind', which is a duet about a couple who do everything they can to ruin the relationship that they're in.
Crazy (One of my favourites) is an old Patsy Cline song (written by Willie Nelson), and is sung well by LeAnn, although she could never quite compare to Patsy.
The album is one disc, and the front cover of the case has the words 'LEANN RIMES' in white accross the top, with the words 'THE BEST OF' in black, underneath the word 'LEANN'. The background of the cover is a beige/fawn colour, and it shows LeAnn leaning on the background like she is leaning against a wall. To the left of LeAnn is a list of hits that are on the album. The back cover has the track listings, and the barcode in the bottom corner.

I have seen this C.D in all of my local supermarkets for £10.99, and it is on sale in Virgin Megastores for only £9.99. This is a great price for such a good album, and it doesn't insult her talents by selling the album at such a low price.
I hope you enjoy this as much as me, and I urge all country/pop fans to buy this album as it really is incredible, with a good variety of songs. It really is a brilliant album, and LeAnn has done so well to get where she is at such a young age. At least now this time an album of hers goes to the top, she can go out and have a drink to celebrate - Legally!
