...Mary Black is the best folk singer of the 80's and 90's and her work is so excellent. speaking with the angel is her best work by far and I just love listening to it. The best tracks are Cut by Wire which is quite dark but at the same time a brilliant track, big trip to portland (which I have seen her perform live) which is a great upbeat tune with fantastic words, one not to miss, Mary Black has such talent and such a voice, she is the best female Irish folk singer, Broken Wings is a beatiful track. The songs are written in pink on a black background. The back cover isn’t in black and white like the front. ╣What I Think/Who Would Enjoy It╠ Songs - I have never bought an album where I have loved nearly every song on it. This album has 12 songs, and I like at least 10, with about 8 I love, where usually, I buy an album with 15 songs, and enjoy about 3 songs on it, which is why I was really happy with this album when I got it. To enjoy nearly all the songs just shows how good of an album it is, especially having 3 of the top RnB producers in the business producing the album, you wouldn’t expect anything less. ...even more success. Her image has changed slightly but her raw vocals and song writing skills have improved dramatically. She has returned with new and producers she has worked before with, and out came “No More Drama” This album is fairly new and released winter 2001. It is hard to say that this album is a classic, like many of her others, but I’m sure that time will tell. The title of the album may not be a coincidence, Mary is known for her tantrums and has said for a few years that she has grown up and those days are past, so the title of the album confirms this. The title track (current single) is very emotional and the strongest song on the album.
