The Best Of Me comes only 6 years after the last Bryan Adams compilation, and more than half the tracks here featured on 1993's So Far So Good.
Those which appear for the first time are arguably the right choices - Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman, When You're Gone and Cloud #9 among them.
So, in its defence, the standout tracks from his albums since 1993 (Unplugged included) are all featured here, even the Chicane collaboration "Don't Give Up" (as a hidden bonus track on later pressings). That track - and their remix of Cloud #9, marked a long overdue change of musical direction. Hopefully it's the start of a new phase in his career, and this money-making exercise - which is of little value to those who shelled out for So Far So Good - will be excused.
