Advantages: All the best R'n'B anthems from '04 & '05 Disadvantages: A little dated now
...This is an excellent round up of all the R'n'B smashes of 2004 and 2005 with a few nostalgic classics thrown in for good measure. It covers the slow jams, the dancefloor joints and everything in between from artists as diverse as Wayne Wonder, Lucy Pearl, Kelis and Usher.
CD2 also takes us back with classic gems from the likes of D'Angelo (whose 'Brown Sugar' pretty much defined and kick started the neo soul scene), Janet Jackson (with her undeniable classic 'That's The Way Love Goes') and Blackstreet (with club hit 'No Diggity' featuring Dr Dre)
This album is the perfect party album and although it avoids raritites, its sound understanding of R'n'B past and present make it a must have for any music lover....

Advantages: Some great songs from bands you may not have heard before Disadvantages: Some poor tunes
...compilation is really quite an average release with relatively few tunes really managing to impress on a mass scale, but there are glimpses of genius on the CD which make it well worth spending your hard earned cash on. There are some added bonuses on the CD in videos from Antifreeze, Goldfinger, Neil Hamburger, Ozma, and The Vandals so even if you are not in to the music then there are always some visuals for you to get in to.

Advantages: Punk, punk and more punk Disadvantages: No Clash!?!
...I brought this ablum just as I was getting into 70's/80's punk but knew very few of the less mainstream bands (just bands like the clash and the sex pistols), so I bought it. I wasn't disapointed with most of the songs on this compalation but there are a few the weren't my thing.
So I got home put it on, the first track was the much over played "Anarchy in the UK", which is the first political punk song but one of the 1st punk bands, so I suppose it had to be on there. The rest of the songs I'd never heard and only reconised some of the bands.
There is a real mix of punk from political to punk-pop to Oi! and gives you a real feel for the punk scene at that time. Some of the better band i found on this compalation are Stiff Little Fingers, Buzzcocks, The Stranglers and Cockney Rejects. My favourite track being "The Greatest Cockney...
