Advantages: ADVANCED! Disadvantages: lesser known studio technology in its time of release
...media) being that my old man would always juxtapose us with RayConniff, Perry Como, and Perez Frado- blaring on our stereo to the expense of my tortured wondrous childhood-- SGT PEPPERS contained those tracks that could really blow me sky high, mainly containing some of the most phenomenal songs of the Beatles such as “Getting Better”, “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”, and the certain material of songs which paint vivid imagery on the epical scale for the likes of “She’s Leaving Home”, “When I’m Sixty Four”, and, yes the good stomp that could be found on Lennon’s “Good Morning Good Morning”. Other tracks such as “Lovely Rita” and “Fixing A Hole” are no notable exceptions.

Advantages: Its Ray Charles Disadvantages: Its not the real Ray Charles
...Ray Charles, the man was a musical Genius of this there is no doubt at all. Genuis is a far too frequently used word these days with very few deserving of the accolade.
So Genius loves company, how does it measure up? Its a nice album of duets featuring the great man and some of todays other musicians.
It is a nice album with some very nice tracks but it doesn't give a good representation of Ray at his finest.
The best three tracks for my money were:
Here we go again - Featuring Norah Jones
It was a very good year - Featuring Willie Nelson
You don't know me - Featuring Diana Krall
Genius Love Company is definately worth owning if just for these three tracks.
If you would like to experience Ray Charles i would recommend that you purchase The Definitive Ray Charles double CD a much more complete picture of the man....

Advantages: Madonna has matured. Disadvantages: If you like her pop, it aint here!
...Madonna has finally matured from that annoying teenage pop sensation with the annoying cheesy songs that got 24/7 radio play. Here is something quite different and definitely opens up your mind to a whole new "light". The are some epic songs, including "Ray of Light", "Frozen" and "Power of Goodbye" which all rank amongst some of Madonna's best works, including the crowd favourites "Cherish", "Erotica" and "Like a Virgin". there is something a bit more intelligent, classy and thought provoking about Madoona's new stuff. Other songs on the album are defintily worth a listen, including "Mer Girl" and "Substitute for Love". Altogether, I am very impressed and I defintiely like the new image Madonna has created for herself. A great creative album that will allow you to explore all aspects of music....
