We Invented The Remix - Various Artists
Review of We Invented The Remix [ECD] [PA] - Various Artists by  Capodon

Advantages: Some good remixes and the price
Disadvantages: Not many, some fillers but i suppose you get that with every album

...This cd is an absolue bargain. I would highly recommend purchasing this as Bad Boy and Puff Daddy are well known for producing good remixes and the series of albums was a very good idea, another money spinning venture but one for the fans who had remixes on b sides of cd singles and recorded off the radio! Special Delivery - G Dep, Ghostface Killah, Keith Murray & Craig Mack. Quite a repetitive tune but a cult favourite. More likely to hear it in the clubs I Need A Girl Part 2 - Ginuwine, Mario Winans, P Diddy & Loon. Video and single released off the back of the successful part 1. Some say they prefer this version, i actual do and its one of the best tracks on the album Bad Boy For Life - P Diddy, Busta Rhymes & MOP. A shouty version of the original. Not bad but too much going on lyrically for me, my ears couldnt take it I Need... Read review

The Real Hip Hop Is Over Here?
Review of Hip Hop Is Dead (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Nas by  XICripZ

Advantages: A few bangers
Disadvantages: A few tracks are a little weaker than the rest

...issue with the older generation and those who are on the rise **Five Stars** 4. ?Where Are They Now? Although not nearly as exciting as the remixes, this track has im ask where all the big names of the eighties and nineties have gone. In the later version he got to work with a few of the people who he lists here as he goes back into the history of Hip Hop and speaks on top of some funky James Brown samples, and how excited it made him as he heard all that he came up with. **Five Stars** 5. ?Hip Hop Is Dead? The titular track here had a big impact at the time as it really represented what Nas meant by the statement and made people reconsider what they see ?real Hip Hop? to truly be, and whether they have actually encountered it recently form the act which performed then. He take son classic breaks such as ?In... Read review

Hip Hop Lives: No it doesn't
Review of Hip Hop Lives - KRS-One & Marley Marl by  bigdiship-hop

Advantages: Three AVERAGE songs... ?
Disadvantages: Borderline Randy Savage-level bad.

...a monumental amount of time preaching about how nobody has any creativity. How creative are you if all you talk about is how nobody else is creative? "Nothing New" is perhaps the most aptly titled track on Hip Hop Lives; there is NOTHING NEW here. Maybe they should've included a song called "Nothing Good" to go along with it. But there are some songs here that are true bottom of the barrell, even by KRS-One standards. "I Was There" is a joke. You wanna talk creativity? How creative are you when you rhyme the word "there" for thirty-seven bars? KRS deserves castration by machete. The irony of KRS-One biting Jay-Z's "30 Something" (who is a KNOWN biter) on "Over 30" makes me chuckle. Why even do it? Why would you waste your time making an obvious rehash of a relatively recent song done by an artist lightyears ahead of you in terms of charisma... Read review
