Advantages: A few damn good songs Disadvantages: A few damn uninteresting songs
..., Florida, Less Than Jake are the ska-punk masters. When finding a LTJ track on a compilation CD, one’s heart starts to race, motored by the technical perfection of the band's ability to produce a high-octane gem of a song. 'Look What Happened' is the ultimate jewel, and is Less Than Jake’s best effort to date. Following LTJ is the UK’s very own Consumed, who add two songs from their latest album 'Pistols at Dawn', which stand firm against the ska-punk of LTJ before.
4ft Fingers inclusion is a godsend. Taken from, 'From Hero to Zero', one of the most outstanding albums of all time, 'Proud to Know You' and 'Last Man Standing', are beyond doubt the best of the quality bunch of the songs available on this release. Gash’s contribution is welcome as the band are making a name for themselves and the song is typical of their constructive...

Advantages: All the best R'n'B anthems from '04 & '05 Disadvantages: A little dated now
...This is an excellent round up of all the R'n'B smashes of 2004 and 2005 with a few nostalgic classics thrown in for good measure. It covers the slow jams, the dancefloor joints and everything in between from artists as diverse as Wayne Wonder, Lucy Pearl, Kelis and Usher.
CD2 also takes us back with classic gems from the likes of D'Angelo (whose 'Brown Sugar' pretty much defined and kick started the neo soul scene), Janet Jackson (with her undeniable classic 'That's The Way Love Goes') and Blackstreet (with club hit 'No Diggity' featuring Dr Dre)
This album is the perfect party album and although it avoids raritites, its sound understanding of R'n'B past and present make it a must have for any music lover....

Advantages: Some of the best ska classics of all time! Disadvantages: The price
...I was recommended this c.d by a friend who grew up in the height of the ska era! Not being a die hard fan myself I wasn't that fussed, it cost £15.99 and I thought the price was a bit too expensive but I was pleasantly surpised at how much I liked it and that deep down I had heard some of the songs before. A compilation with the likes of Dexy's Midnight Runners, The Specials, Fun Boy Three, Madness, The Kinks and Desmond Decker made for a very entertaining few hours of music. With two of The Jams most famous tracks performed by Paul Weller live were an extra little bonus. 40 songs from some of the greatest ever living musicians make up this essential cd to have for any music collection and even though it was a bit on the expensive side it gave me great hours of easy listening!
This C.D is well worth the buy! I'd recommend anyone...
