Advantages: It rocks, overdosis of great guitarplay. Disadvantages: 3/11 tracks are not that good, which leaves 8 songs.
.... However, the intro makes you forget about track 4, and makes you focus on the upcoming 7 minutes of this track. The guitar and drum and bass do their work, and you really get to hear the deep rough side of the guitar, the 'Don't tread on me' by Metallica kind of guitar.
The singing is enjoyable, but you do not really feel the 'No More Tears', I am not convinced by the singing of the lyrics, even though the singing on itself is good. The instruments and teamwork keeps being awesome. At 3:40 they just stop and seem to start a new song. Only piano with some radio broadcasting vaguely in the background. Then the guitar starts to swell and you hear the drum now and then, but not in a melody, but its being patted.
Until 4:40 and they start building up, creating one of the best solos I have heared in quite a while, and I can hear some tricks...

Advantages: It's Neil Diamond Disadvantages: It's Neil Diamond
...'re young and therefore automatically credible. I've reached the age where I'm not. Whatever it is I'm afraid... very afraid... that it's the first indication of my final slippery slide from relative youth into middle age because, you see, I'm already planning to buy another one. Can I turn this around? Can I make a convincing argument to be proud of owning this album? No but if it helps, I can tell you why I like it.
Although, as a youngster, I had a predeliction for vertical hair and studs I have always had eclectic tastes... the first four albums I bought were "The Hurting" by Tears for Fears, "Atom Heart Mother" by Pink Floyd, "My Kind of Schubert" and "Never Mind the Bollocks" by the Sex Pistols. A good mix for a 10 year old. Time has not improved things. My current CD collection contains rock n'roll, rock, ska, punk, new wave...

Advantages: Solid album/ Can be purchased cheap/ Disadvantages: Not to your taste?
...from the 'No More Tears' album. The tracks that attracted me to commit myself to buying this album were 'S.I.N', 'Hellraiser', 'Road To Nowhere' and 'Mama I'm Coming Home'. All of those songs housed a hard rock and roll feel to them, as well as some reflective moments. If I begin regularly listening to the songs I have downloaded and feel that I like enough from one album - I will gladly purchase it.
So I popped along to HMV, and found this for sale under the metal section, on offer for £4.99. I was especially pleased because this copy held 2 bonus tracks, 'Don't Blame Me' and 'Party with the Animals'.
The album's cover art is nice, if not rather mundane colour wise, as dark browns and blacks taint an angel winged Ozzy. The linear notes also included with this album are extensive and reveals a lot of information about the recording...
