The early 90's was a great period in the history of Hip Hop. The vibe was upbeat, yet ... more
hardcore, as groups were becoming more innovative and incorporating multiple elements of modern music to form beats completely original and unmatched. The lyrical styles remained street savy and eloquent, but harsher new styles as those of Redman and ONYX emerged. Old school heroes like Dr Dre and Kook G Rap also commanded much respect. This DVD takes a look back at the videos, interviews, performances and freestyles of 1993 and features over 20 artists and loads of music.

Advantages: A large selection of great tracks Disadvantages: Just a couple of bad ones thrown in, but it all really depends on your taste
Before I start can I just say that I have never tried to review a CD before so please cut me some slack!!!
I first heard this CD in a music lesson. We had to practice our listening skills because part of the music exam is a listening section, where you have to listen to a piece of music and write about it. Our teacher played a couple of pieces of this CD, and I instantly wanted it!
I ordered it off a website and the day after it arrived, I was so pleased that I could listen to all the tracks myself.
When the cover of the box says The best cinema classics ever, it really does mean the VERY best cinema classics ever.
This is a double CD pack, and to be honest, it is pretty impossible for you not to recognize at least one film or piece of music on the CD's. If you think you have seen a great film with great music, there is ...
Subtitled “funk classicsfrom sassy soul sisters” this album’s sentiment may have it’s heart in the right place, but it fails to describe the full picture here. These women are sexually, emotionally and vocally aggressive, leaving their men in no doubt as to who wears the trousers in their respective relationships. Each track here oozes raw sexuality, whether the role of the singer is that of a bored housewife (“Crumbs Off the Table”) or as sexual predator (“Your Thing Ain’t No Good Without My Thing”). The titles alone are sheer class.
Culled from the dusty vaults of Warner Bros’ legendary, bottomless soularchives this is an album of twelve virtually unknown tracks from between 1968 and 1974 performed by fourteen virtually unknown artists (honourable exception: Gladys ...
Advantages: Complex, aromatic and reasonably priced fragrance Disadvantages: None that I can think of
sandlewood and cedar) and this is probably what makes me think of home and various other comforting associations. It's a relatively complex and rich smell and perhaps more one for the 'grown ups' than the teens.
My nose isn't sensitive enough to be a perfumer, but star anise, bergamot and the occasional burst of cinnamon are very noticeable when spraying this on. The scent lingers for quite a while and the character seems to change quite a bit as time goes on.
Top notes: star anise, bergamot, cardamom, black pepper, mandarin
Middle notes: mace, lavender, coriander, cinnamon
Base notes: vetiver, tamboti wood tonka bean
Well worth trying if you're in the market for a new fragrance, you can find out more at http://www.boss-fragrances.com/mens-fragrances/bos s-soul/
