...to 1977 at times the trip is somewhat stormy and others the quietness is a little surreal, but overall it's one heck of a journey and a tale which must be told.

This first track is perhaps one of Bolan's best know works, since it has been used in numerous commercials and is instantly recognisable, although there a re many who know the track they might not be able to link it to Bolan. This is a little ego trip for Bolan and was a mid 70's mega hit for T.Rex, it's very raunchy and very 70...

...From the London underground of the mid to late sixties there were rumbles of a new star, a new people's hero a new superstar. He had risen in popularity the hard way but at the beginning of the Seventies MarcBolan had his first commercial hit and glam rock was born. With his pink Bolero and glittered eyes he took the Seventies to new heights along with groups like Sweet, Mud and Slade. His elfish charm and cockney wit were to make him one of the biggest stars since the Beatles. The music papers of the time hailed him as the new king The Wizard of Notting Hill, not since the hey day of the Beatles had such a mania been seen in Britain. With his group T.RexMarc was to have a succession of number one hits and many top ten hits. His youthful exuberance had the teenage girls swooning...

2. Cosmic Dancer:
Quite a slow, relaxed song with acoustic guitars and violin accompaniment. MarcBolan’s voice is great on this song and is a very good example of his very distinctive singing style. I should imagine that this song has a wider appeal as it seems to me to be less dated now than many of the other songs on this album, and it was used in the film ‘Billy Elliot’. I like this song a lot; it has quite a languid feel to it – great for chilling out to. I...
