...I had the pleasure of hearing "Alive" during school. Or rather, in a sort of detention… Back then the music prompted something in me. Alive… Was I? What a question to ask yourself in puberty! After a few more years nostalgia kicked in, and I bought the Ten album then. "Black" in particular got my attention, as well as "Porch". Both songs are heartbreaking and seem remarkably personal for a band, which makes a lot of noise. Lyrically strong, and Eddie’s voice going through into your core, gives for an excellent CD....

...After hearing "Why Does my Heart Feel So Bad", and absolutely adoring it, I decided to actually buy the album, and it was certainly a good choice. Mixing all sorts of music, some going back over 60 years old, Moby has produced a masterpeice, and definately one of the finest peices of instrumental work ever.
This shows, that when done right, sampling old records and bringing them up-to-date CAN work, but only when done correctly! Too many have just stuck bits of songs to dance tracks without thinking, and what you end up with is an unlistenable mess. However, when written with care, taking care not to override the original song too much, you can end up with eighteen master pieces and a CD that will still be listenable in tenyears time. Advantages: Amazing voice, unbelievable musical genius Disadvantages: There last album :(
...Creed was formed in 1995 in Tallahassee, FL, by vocalist Scott Stapp and guitarist Mark Tremonti. After about 9 years together, Creed split up after releasing three albums "my own prison", "human clay" and "weathered" selling over 30 million albums worldwide in that time.
Better known over in the US, they were so successful leading to them being one of Americas biggest rock bands in over tenyears before splitting last year.
The Human Clay album was one of my personal favourites with such hits as "With Arms Wide Open", and "Higher", but the Weathered album was just as successful and gave us "My sacrifice", one of my all time favourite songs.
The lead singer Scott Stapp's voice is genius, as so is the rest of the bands musical skills. Tremonti's guitar skills were sublime.
