Advantages: Essential document of an underrated band

...It's Paul Young - But not as you know him. You could be forgiven for thinking that Paul Young was a typical product of the '80's - All big hair and slick production. But he had a life before Wherever I Lay My Hat! I had the benefit of seeing the Q-Tips live on numerous occasions, and can honestly say that they put on some of the best shows around at the time. The Q-Tips were the hardest working band in showbiz. In the couple of years that they were together they toured constantly. In that time they produced a handful of singles, one studio album and Live At Last, a document of their live shows. This CD is an expanded version of the original vinyl release. Advantages: Everything a Barnesy fan could want

...The Night Away" (the last two remixed versions) are typically gutsy offerings, while "Good Times" - from the "Lost Boys" soundtrack - is written by Vanda & Young. (Well I had to get the AC/DC connection in somewhere!) John Farnham helps out on "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby", then the only track from most recent album "Psyclone" is aired - "Change Of Heart". Perhaps Jimmy's best-known and most popular song is next: "Working Class Man". Such a classic didn't really require a remix, but it's still outstanding. The oldest track featured (from 1984's "Bodyswerve") is "No Second Prize", and "Lay Down Your Guns" follows. "(Simply) The Best", with Tina Turner of course, is unfortunately next up.
