Advantages: Contains classic artists such as Odyssey, Brothers Johnson and Diana Ross Disadvantages: Is a populist take on the disco era.
...This album is a broad yet typical retrospective of the commercial side of the disco era. Staples of the disco scene such as Chic and Earth, Wind & Fire feature here, yet in their most famous incarnations as opposed to the music that changed the face of the dance underground forever.
There are rare stand out moments such as the highlighted Brothers Johnson classic 'Stomp' and Diana Ross's Chic penned athem 'Upside Down' however, overall this album is a good album for those that think of disco as a Car Wash style flares and afro 'Good Times' party. It's not for the connoisseurs of disco for whom any one of the Larry Levan or Joey Negro compilations would be better suited....

Fancy a Boogie Review ofDiscoFever - VariousArtistsby
lucybradly
Advantages: makes you dance and smile Disadvantages: sad to some, but who cares
...-released by variousartists and been big hits; Relight my Fire:Take That, Lady Marmalade:All Saints, More Than a Women: 911, OK many dodgy covers, but it has ensured that the tracks live on.
I have to say that many of the bands/artistes on the CD I had never heard of, even though I class myself as a bit of a music anorak. Although I did recognise and like many of the tracks, so that must prove the power of many of these hits......? Be it disco classic or karaoke classic, most will know some of them!
My personal favourites include the tracks I always request at parties as soon as the disco man plays just one 70's disco track.....
le freak – standard wild dancing and arm flinging about boogie track
boogie nights – groovy dance tune
play that funky music – strut your stuff
carwash – incorporates classy hand movements
i will survive...

The best albumn Review ofFever You Can't Sweat Out, A - Panic At The Discoby
LittleLoz
Advantages: Price, presentation, cover, vocals, lyrics, instrumental, songs...everything! Disadvantages: Not well-known although this means they will remain unchanged and brilliant
...This is an excellent albumn written by my favourite band, it is unique and well, written with good vocals, instrumentals and lyrics. It is well presented, with an artistic cover inkeeping with the theme of the music. For all of this quality the price is good too, I paid a fair price which was less than most albumns are. It is a good all-rounder. The only downside to this product is that it is not well-known, although it is becoming more widely known. I found this albumn after viewing song number 10 on this albumn, on a music channel. This was when this albumn was even less well known and the artists were wirtually unheard of, I was captivated by the original sound so I recommended it to many friends! It has retained its excellence and withstood the effect of time. Original and brilliant every time....
