...I can't believe I've gone without an ipod for all this time, because now I own one, I don't know how I ever lived without it. The classic is clearly the best of the ipod products. All the extras you get on some of the others just cut down it's music capacity and battery life. You can even up your capacity with the 160 GB but 80 seems to hold more than enough. The classic is really easy to use, simple to charge and upload all your new music. The only issue I have with ipods is the fact that they get scratched so easily and you really need to buy some kind of cover to keep it in good shape, which ultimately bulks it out a little more and ruins the look of your classic black sexy gadget. I wish Ipod could just design one that doesn't do this and them it would be perfect.... Read review

This review was updated 22.07.09 :-) ** UPDATE** I'll have owned my iPod Classic for two years when December comes, so at the end of this review I'll give you an update on how it's running almost 24 months after it was first purchased. I was hesitant about buying an iPod as my first, an iPod mini a few years ago, broke and never mended itself as soon as I bought it. It was sent back and I've been using other (decent) players since. But iPods are so popular I decided to give them another shot and, truthfully, am very pleased that I did. Classical music station Classic FM were also involved in putting this book together. Like every Eyewitness guide that I've looked at, it's really packed with information. The cover is glossy and colourful, while inside there are 500 pages of facts, analysis and biographies of composers from over 1000 years of music. There are plentiful illustrations throughout, making it a very attractive book to use. The book is edited by John Burrows, OBE, who organises and promotes concerts. He has worked with many big names in the classical world. In his Foreword to the book he says he wanted the guide to "inform, excite, inspire and be very accessible."
