Advantages: great funky groovy beats with great instrumental work Disadvantages: none what I can see
...Who would of thought it? The wild Chili Peppers teaming up with funk mastermind George Clinton: serious silliness meets silly seriousness. Clinton has further funkified their previous raw "rock out with your SOCK out" sound by spicing up the songs with well-placed horn blurts and by altering the vocals (at times one can hardly tell if it's Anthony) and guitar style (check the action on "Black Eyed Blonde" and the funky "Yertle The Turtle."). Clinton doesn't overshadow the Chili's thump-funk, he gives it direction, using his background to focus the groove, and using his studio wizardry to expand their frontiers. Great tracks on this album are "The Brother Cup" (who's the little dude?), "Hollywood (Africa)," the Meters/ Nevilles staple "Jungle Man," and Sly's "If You Want Me To Stay." If you play one you'll want to play them all...

Advantages: good mix of music Disadvantages: absolutely none!
...is a friend of Mine, Jesus Jesus Jesus, Jesus Loves Me, Singing you a Prayer, What would Jesus Do?, Going Home, Were you there?, I shall be released.
Happy, sultry, or meditative it's all here in the 2 CD collection of 'Gospel Roots,' on an EMI label. The cover design is simple, with Aaron Neville in a relaxed pose on a bridge, and to the rear is the artiste again, but this time looking more upbeat and rugged. The cover portrays Aaron like his music: sultry and uptempo!
At £14.99, which is what I bought it for, the value for money outweighs the price. A big guy with an angelic voice, Aaron's renditions will de-stress you, return some peace into your life; and anyone wanting to find some solace or just pure easy listening at it's very best, it's got to be this collection!...

Advantages: Fun, Racy Tracks Disadvantages: Songs aren't labeled by which band wrote them.
...I bought the album, The specials and fun boy three from a music store in Birmingham town centre with my last two pounds as it was the last one on the shelf and it was the best £2 i ever spent! This is a brilliant abum featuring Neville Staple and his guest band with special appearences from Jane Wiedlin Jennifer and Leila Avila.
The front cover design is based on traditional ska style with the black and white check and fully dressed Rude Boys, Pork Pies and all!
The album inclides ska classics such as,
-Ghost Town (which hit number one in 1981)
-A message to you rudy
-Our lips are sealed
-Gangsters
The specials were an English ska band formed in coventry 1977. The members were,
Jerry Dammers
Terry hall
Neville Staples
Sir Horace Gentleman
Roddy Radiation
Lynval Golding
John Bradbury
Their debut LP was 'Specials-Too Much Too Young...
